Brent Oxley, the founder of HostGator, has been accruing a portfolio of ultra-premium domain names since he sold his hosting company for close to $300 million in 2013.

With purchases such as Give.com for $500,000, Broker.com for $375,000, and Texas.com for $1,007,500, Oxley has spent millions of dollars over the past few years accumulating this collection. According to his website, the portfolio is worth more than $25 million.

Oxley has now, however, lost access to a proportion of his portfolio

My guess is that we have learned about this case thanks to James Iles posting it here. Because the domains have been locked since one year ago as I understand, and even with these domains valued in millions of dollars, we haven't learned about this case till this week because of this thread on this forum.
So now think about other people with less valuable domains or people not known as Brent, the former Hostgator owner, if we would have learned about their case.

I agree with you. However, again my point is that if they have been doing this to other domainers this entire time, then at least we can confront their abusive policies and end it. However, if this hasn't been an ongoing issue and Brent is literally one of the first examples of GoDaddy locking down a portfolio without having a justifiable reason to do so, then we could have a problem that would be even harder to confront and call out.

One thing as a community we should do, target our traffic like Rick Schwartz did several years ago with unethical.com and create a nice looking site drawing lots of eyeballs telling the story of how inept GD is. The goal is hopefully getting the attention of media. With enough eyeballs, we can create some accountability and take back our rights.
It's no unethical.com redirect, just noting www.FireAman.com redirects to Brent's comment from page 14.

Available btw :)
:) who of you guys ? :)

Should any news outlets pick up on a trending hashtag such as #FireAman ((... and #HireAWoman it's time for GoDaddy to GoWoman)) or if folks were to share the FireAman.com link that redirects to Brents nP response to the media, maybe the GoDaddy CEO would suddenly be able to find some time to step away from CNBC and Secretive Private Forums (for once) to direct some long overdue attention to Brent and to this open community forum of which he has yet to formally introduce himself to. tagging @AmanBhutani

GoDaddy has a fiduciary responsibility to protect their customers as the domain holders. It is outrageous to lock a domain owner out of the management of their own domains, and to let this go for so long is unconscionable.

With respect, I think some of us <myself included> have been a little trigger happy with posting our thoughts, and forgetting to do the required reading, or cite back to what has been previously said/addressed...

https://www.jamesnames.com/2021/03/brent-oxley/

I understand that after Oxley moved his domains to Namecheap, Agarwal contacted Namecheap asking for Oxley’s names to be locked, a request that Namecheap declined. I contacted Namecheap for comment. I was told:

Namecheap always puts our customers first, protecting their right, freedoms and valuable digital assets such as domain names. We have a proven track record of doing the right thing by our customers that includes fighting for their rights in court when deemed necessary. We do not lock or disable customer domains on a whim without the correct legal requirement.”

GoDaddy is a US based Company and has their customer base in every Country in the world. If Brent Oxley's @create.com high valued, multi-million dollar portfolio can be held hostage for over a year because of one bad guy filing an $11 civil suit in a foreign court, well then the rest of us are F-ed.

GoDaddy, please do the right thing ASAP.

First of all, why was Brent even dealing with a guy like Puneet?

I think we are missing a lot more to this story,

I think there is some illegal activity going on where Puneet has insider friends at godaddy to find Brent all these one word domains to buy at discount prices.

So GoDaddy blocked Brent’s names until they get things cleared up.

that’s my guess

He's responded here. No real need to double post. I imagine/assume they have or will now assign a few folks on this corporate flounder, and release an official statement (or resignation letter) sooner or later.

In the mean time, JamesNames.com did garner a @jberryhill (1) response, and (2) one heck of a read shared by @GeorgeK

While you regard it as double posting, I think it's wise for Godaddy to say at least something there as well. Different sites, different audiences.

Yeah this is a bit interesting and some people will resort to all time lows just to get some money. What caught my attention according to the article was his comment about doing black magic. Which is a bit scary in my opinion but what I'm wondering is if he was actually serious. I guess it doesn't matter but the thought of anyone who would actually say something like that is insane. Made for an interesting read though and I appreciate you sharing.

If true, that would be yet another disturbing revelation. But my gut leads me to believe it's something else.

Perhaps they're working on a way to dislodge the "foot in mouth" dilemma that the cat seems to have let out of the bag.

Or they could just be busy drafting yet another array of word jargon to again ignore/deflect away from any of Mr. Oxley's questions for whatever reason that has yet to be made public.

The criminal Complaint against Brent oxley is already been filed with the Fbi and the fbi is investigating the case.

There is also a parallel enquiry going on for cia.com domain name as the plaintiff is seen hand in gloves with russian and north Korean computer hackers. The sensitive information along with the physical addresses along with the ip addresses of North Korean , Russian intelligence agencies trying to hack into cia , Chinese enemies of state.

Also I am in the process of filing another criminal Complaint against Brent Oxley in the Texas State police station applicable. My lawyers in usa are drafting the police complaint to be filed in some days for snort.com

I am also in the process of filing second criminal case against Brent Oxley under the FCPA , Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 that prohibits USA citizens and entities from bribing foreign officials and foreign persons. Process is also underway to file criminal cases of cheating , criminal conspiracy to do extortion from GoDaddy, under Securities Exchange Act of ,1934 Amendment and Unlawful Corporate Payments Act ,usa . Plaintiff proposed to me to help him in extortion of many million USD from GoDaddy. Evidence has already been submitted before the Honorable court last time.

It must also be noted that the plaintiff is also under radar of cia , central intelligence agency of USA Plaintiff is in illegal possession of digital data such as ip address, identities of Hacker based out of China and north Korea. , physical addresses of hackers and foreign agents who are enemies of state.

I am also in talks with GoDaddy to file another criminal case against Brent Oxley as he has done an identity fraud and cheating in the name of GoDaddy.

I hereby plead before Honourable Court that GoDaddy , cia , namecheap must also be added as parties as plaintiff has Intentionally hidden these facts from the Hon Court. The domains are in the legal custody of Godaddy therefore it is of utmost importance for the Hon Court to listen to their statements as well for the clear projection of this case.

Related with this matter one more criminal Complaint Is also in investigation by Indian police to probe the role of Brent Oxley in hacking my account. My account and computer were hacked by Brent oxley and data was stolen from my digital assets.

Brent Oxley also hired a rogue and terror designate Pakistani Intelligence agency's hacker and their spy Sharjeel Imam. Pakistani spy and isi agent Sharjeel Imam is a known Pakistani criminal to indian intelligence agencies. Hon court can confirm about this from them.

Brent Oxley last year was named as a notorious criminal by the many nationalist usa citizens during his criminal action to burn masks , covid kits last year so that it will attract views and will bring him revenue

This Pakistani spy as ordered by Brent oxley harassed my family members including my wife and parents in india. Indian embassy of Dubai with the help of Indian foreign ministry are working on the drafting of this criminal case against Brent Oxley and Sharjeel Saleem. Sharjeel Saleem works for Pakistani rogue and notorious intelligence agency isi under the disguise of domainer.

During the world wide pandemic of covid 19 Brent Oxley tried to make intentional shortage of emergency health items such as masks , PPE kits etc. During that time Brent Oxley told the media that it is not his responsibility to distribute masks and other life saving items during the pandemic.

The real nature of Brent Oxley is that of a shrewd criminal who puts profit over national emergency of usa. Brent Oxley has also been heavily criticised by the Worldwide animal rights ngo PETA and several other animal activists for killing innocent and endangered species of the world

GoDaddy,USA company has already confirmed to me in writing that only and only Indian court ruling will be followed by them related to any court order regarding these domain names.

My lawyers has also submitted seperate criminal case of breach of business trust , exploitation of defendant and further cheating and illegally taking chargeback from the banks related with the registration of 6500 domain names.

Right now 2 criminal cases are being filed and worked upon by the defendant against Brent Oxley with the Texas police department and highly criminal FCPA act with the court of Texas

With the state actors cia ,fbi already investigating the criminal role being done by Brent oxley.
Usa court has no jurisdiction over me and the same has already been stated by American company GoDaddy in writing to me.

One more thing I would like to mention to Honorable Court is fcpa , hacking , another case of cheating with respect to snort.com and memo.com domain names.cia , fbi agencies being involved and doing parallel investigations , FCPA act are very serious matters.

I hereby again reiterate that USA judiciary has no jurisdiction over me. ( On an Indian citizen residing in India ).
The domain names in the case were locked on the directions of Indian Judge. USA courts cannot and have no jurisdiction interfering in the internal legal matters going on the Indian soil and under the jurisdiction of Indian Law

yesterday there was a hearing about this case in India and Indian judge has already issued required directions to both parties.

I politely request USA legal officers to not interfere in the internal legal matters going on in India with respect to Me ,i.e Puneet Agarwal , Indian citizen , . Moreover Brent Oxley is also fighting the case in India and he has hired 4 lawyers for it.

Brent Oxley has tried threatening me , he has tried bribing me and bribing Indian law officers through his lawyers , Brent Oxley approached usa courts on the I'll advise of his usa lawyer and that too after 1 yr of fighting case in india

Also want to bring the case of wines.com on record. The owner of this domain is an old usa lady who registered this domain in 90s for her retirement. Brent Oxley in a criminal collusion with the seller ( the person with whom this old lady has a legal Agreement for revenue sharing and not for sale ) took over the wines.com domain and made a lot of money and then resold it back

Brent Oxley is s criminal , enemy of usa hiding lot of secret intel and intentionally not handing it to usa govt. Once the investigation goes on everything will be revealed.

When the usa court did not order the locking of domain names in question than by what right can usa court order unlocking of the domain names.

Brent Oxley is misguiding usa law authorities , and is trying to get a wrong malafide decision from you sir .

GoDaddy has already stated in writing that only and only Indian court ruling will be entertained in this case.

Therefore I request you to please not give your platform to a criminal who by chance happens to be a usa citizen. Please respect Indian territory, Indian Jurisdiction and indian territorial laws sir.

Brent Oxley came to India last year and completed all the formalities with me regarding this.

  • When [email protected] emailed Brent in January 2020 to tell him that per documents filed, what document was that? If it was something similar to: Exhibit 5, then they can clearly see the history of the case hearing, which states "awaiting services of notices/ summons".
