I have few questions on Auctions selling.

What sort of names are sold in Auctions? GEO, EMDs or Brandables? Is it worth it? And what are the best places if you want to head to one? Thanks.

Hi

you'll have to do the research, by reviewing auction sales results to see which names sold, the category and for how much.
then, you'd have to know what each seller originally paid for their domain and how many years they held it before selling... to know if it was profitable sale and how much profit was gained.

as for best, they are all like the rest... you have to view the listings to see what's being offered.

don't look to get spoon fed, feed yourself

imo....

Thanks just that asking here is another form of research. The inputs of those that have gone before me will guide me to the light.

Yes auctions are profitable if you make a profit. You would want to pay attention to any commission fees however.

Sold any names through auction and how?
I haven't as I prefer Buy It Now. All you would have to do is list on multiple sites and wait.

I haven't had much luck with GoDaddy 7-day auctions. I do think I had an offer/counter offer that received an offer and I was able to turn that into a 7-day auction with their offer as the opening bid. 7 days later it sold at their offer.
