The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I generally don't like domains that start with the word "buy". That might have worked in early 2000s but it doesn't now.

I really wish if my domain belong to the 2000s era,

BuyBuy.com sold for $95K in 2020 and many more good sales starts with BUY, maybe I have to tell you that feelings has nothing to do with domains business unless your have the Buyer feelings while you are a seller ;)

Ha! I wish. :)

My first question is: Are there any existing businesses that are decicated to the concept you mentioned in your first post?

Hehehe Yes why not, one good domain could bring you three red Ferrari or even more, for me I’m ok with a red Honda Civic for now ;)

Not sure if I sent to correct messages in my first post, I meant that you can use the domain for the general concept of buying anything to make anything but as a domain owner you will use it with dedication on one industry like selling craft supplies that makes crafts or selling a jewellery supplies to make jewelleries and so on..., or you may combine two or three related industries together but not exactly anything.

So I just wanted to point to the wide possible use of the domain in general.

Thank you Joe.

"Buy to Make" sounds pretty odd in my opinion. It is almost like a sentence fragment.

An end user could just hand register a similar domain like BuyToCreate.com.

Thank you but a way far from professional keyword checkers just google and type ''Create'' check the results count and then type ''Make'' check the results count and you will see that 6 billions at the first search and 14 billions in the second search!!, and if you want to go step farther go to Estibot or Epik appraisals any type ByToMake.com and ByToCreate.com they give some value to the first and Null to the second.

But still you maybe come up with a good domain as DareToCreate.com were sold for $2,795 :)

Well that's definitely a more realistic business use than what you had in mind for DoNotBook and DoNotFomo.

Next task would be to see if there are a lot of existing businesses using a similar type of name (i.e. starting in "buy to" or ending in "to make" with a relevant verb in front of it).

You'll want to check aftermarket sales for the same thing, and possibly even brandable marketplaces to see if they list names like this.

Remember not to just focus on one keyword. "Buy" and "Make" are good words on their own, but when paired with other words, they should form a complete name or phrase that both makes sense, and is already in use commercially (or, if it's a future tech name, has the potential to be a popular brand or term).

I suggest doing this analysis, and then providing your own appraisal for the name, with real data (not opinion) to back it up.

Thank you very much Joe, I'll follow your valuable advice for sure.

At least we had a constructive discussion here so others would like to benefit from it for their own domain game and that's the forum's main goal I guess.

Thank you.
