Unbelievable - Do a Search of Godaddy Expired Auction Listings for "Coronavirus" names. These names registered at Godaddy in January 2020 are beginning to expire. And guess what? Godaddy is now selling them at expired auction to make $$$ themselves, even though they banned the sale of these names in March of 2020 - due to the Morality of Selling these types of names.

Didn't @Joe Styler proclaim months ago that he was now in charge of Godaddy Aftermarket? Is this no longer immoral now that Godaddy profits? @Rob Monster - would love to hear your take.

I apologize in advance to @Joe Styler for having the nerve to post a concern with an account only a couple months old.

So, if I buy one of these names, can I now list it for sale at Godaddy and Afternic?

I believe the issue matters, not the age of the account, unless it is a troll account.

I won't comment on the alleged hypocrisy, as it is possible that this is a clerical error whereby bulk names are being run through their vast expiry stream. For those who prefer to not lose their investment, I would suggest to just list them at NameLiquidate.com and keep 91% of the proceeds. Epik has no problem with clients selling corona-related names as long as the buyers use them lawfully and within terms of service.

Many posters were extremely upset when fellow NP'ers would offer "Coronavirus" names for sale. Why no outrage now?

It is an error. We are aware of it and are rectifying it so they will not show up in the expired domain auctions.

Most of these covid related domains are already on ISP blocklists.
