Can you elaborate ? Sorry. What were they used for ? Any monetary value ?
Thanks

It was supposed to be used as a means of exchange of goods and services on NamePros, but it never seemed to really catch on. It might have been too ahead of its time.

Below is something more recent, yet still outdated.

Mods might be able to offer something more...gl

Hello,

Some members still use NP$ credits in the following NP$ forums: https://www.namepros.com/categories/np.146/

The following guide explains more about NP$: https://www.namepros.com/threads/np-guide.865051/

The following NP$ rules apply:

10.5. Marketplace and Auction rules apply to NP$ sales and auctions.
10.6. Update your posts in NP$ Credit Exchange if your balance changes.
10.7. Users posting in NP$ Credit Incentives will be verified on a daily basis.
10.8. NP$ incentives may not be exchanged for Trader Ratings.
10.9. NP$ can only be bought and sold in the NP$ Exchange.
10.10. NP$ Exchange threads must clearly state price, payment method, WTB or WTS prefix, budget, and any other requirements.

You can offer NP$ in exchange for reviews in this NP$ forum: https://www.namepros.com/forums/np-sales.20/

There are also a few things that can be obtained using them:
https://www.namepros.com/store/

I hope that helps,

Can we get Reddit to pump NP$ to the moon?

I think NamePros should create some T shirts and mugs so people can spend their hard earned $$

I wouldn't mind owning a NamePros mug.......

Agreed, it was probably too ahead of its time.

With the advent and popularity of cryptocurrencies, it was essentially rendered obsolete in the eyes of members. Probably even before that.

I remember back in the day it was used here quite a lot.

I still have some, if anyone wants to trade or anything let me know.

I think it's a very good idea.

..what if NP had a DAO governance token?

1) Take a snapshot of the current NP$, give amounts to those owners on chain

2) Airdrop amount of NP$ to accounts based on sign up date (earlier sign up, more NP$) - doesn't need to be big amount, allows NP$ to flow and be used in early stages

3) Give mods + admins a fair % of coins, but not detrimental to supply of course

4) Save % of coins in treasury fund to be used for new feature requests, which would be governed via a DAO aka governed by holders of the coin. You will be able to vote on where money will be spent and how much money based on your coin holdings and (maybe?) your account age (older account = more weight). You can create proposals and vote on many other things as well, if needed.

Lol maybe I'm getting a little out of hand but it would be neat (and a lot of work haha). Also could allow users to pay and/or hold a certain number of coins to achieve certain account tiers, which is an up and coming way to collect SaaS payments.

@mdrn I agree except "earlier sign up, more NP" better newer members get more NP$ (y)
