Hi guys,
i have been away for 5 years from domains trading, and i have a question regarding Domain transfer :
- can i sell the domain i bought it today, can i transfer it directly or i have to wait 60 days ??
As far as i know if i bought the domain in some registrar and transfer it to my account in the same registrar i could transfer it to another registrar without having to wait for 60 days.. am i right???

You can do side to side pushes on new regs- no transfer outs until Day 60.

It also depends on what you mean. If you bought the domain from someone else and they pushed the domain to you, if they did a push opting out of the 60 day lock, you can still transfer it. Either way you should be able to see the domain status on your registrar. It says if auth code is unavailable.

If it was a hand reg, why didn't you just register with that other registrar in the first place? Did you already sell to someone else? If it's a hand reg, it's locked for 60 days in any case.

hi Lord and thanks for answering, in fact it's a hypothetical situation, i want to buy a domain from someone because i already got a buyer from another one in a different platform. so i want to avoid waiting 60 days , what do you think i should do ?

besides hustling, lol, yes you can as long as its in your account you can push it at the same registrar without waiting for the 60 days, but to transfer it to another registrar, unfortunately, they still have the 60 day waiting period. good luck. :)

I've always wondered why pushing Godaddy backordered domains (Go France Domains, etc) to a(nother) Godaddy account is possible during the 60-day period. Officially these registrars have a different "Registrar IANA ID", so it is in fact a transfer between different registrars.

When transferring .coms in bulk from Godaddy to another registrar, I often notice that domains that were backordered in the past, do take a little bit longer to be processed, so I guess there's still a difference internally.

Not sure if it's still the same, but if you transfer to Epik you can transfer out without waiting for the 60-day lock.

Pushing might not be safe depending on certain registrars. GD's "60-day lock opt-out" is fake, if you get a domain from GD pushed to your account GD will force lock it even though the one pushing it has chosen to opt out. Happened to me before, was forced to renew at GD during that time.

Good luck.

You can. However, if you transfer again within 45 days the domain will not be renewed for an additional year. Same goes for any registrar.

The gaining registrar on the first transfer (let's say Epik) will receive a refund from the registry.

Domain push works always. Transfers are conditional
