Is it possible to sell a domain to an end user without talking on the phone?

Hi guys,

I own a brandable domain that I think would suit an end user well. The problem is that I'm a bit shy (I'm also not the greatest salesperson). I prefer not to talk on the phone if the end user wants to chat with me about the domain. I'm fine with email though.

Is it possible to do a deal via email only?

Thanks

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I only converse with about 10% of those looking for names...

If they are asking for a call make the call only to confirm your'e a person calling from a location. Only confirm the number do not get into a negotiation and stress all negotiations is done in email so both have records. Use this to build repour only.

Like lock said. Doing your negotiation in email provides a written record of what you're agreeing to. Confirm by repeating what you're selling for how much and how the transaction will be completed.

Buyers very rarely, If ever want to talk to the seller on the phone. Everybody prefers to keep a record of what's discussed and agreed, hence we now have this thing called email.

Hi
yes, it's possible
but.....
do they already have a domain?

what is asking price?

imo....

No need to call. Nowadays most endusers prefer a quick TikTok video with the seller dancing to Jaden Smith.

Email is great, but people never respond, and we can never be sure if there is censorship at some stage.

Send an email, tell them to visit the domain and buy at Sedo, they will ignore, and 6 months later they will go to GD, and you will get a price inquiry at AN, or a lowball at Sedo, maybe.

I consider a phone call spam, but don't consider emails spam, unless there are too many of them from the same source.

I only discuss business through carrier pigeons.

Yeah but seriously you don't need to talk on the phone, especially if you are using something like Dan.com where you will use the onsite chat function.

You may ask somebody else to speak for you.
