1) Whois number still not populating on export. Seriously - you cant fix after all this notice?
2) Godaddy advanced auction search function - specifically "ends with" and "contains" only showing up to 5Days out, when it should show to 10 days.

You talk about how complex your system is. It isn't as complex as a bank. My banking apps NEVER GO DOWN...It just never happens.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
It's been a mess for 2 decades.

I will be drafting a "come to jesus" email for Aman today.

It would be nice if all frustrated Godaddy customers let him know their concerns.

Does anyone else here use the godaddy auction search for specific words?

If so, do you find it alarming that this function has not been working for past 6 days?

Any update?>

The auction search function should be a easy fix, as the "starts with" query is working. Just not the contains and ends with.

The Whois issue is being worked on and will be resolved.

The search is not being worked on as we are going to release a new search experience we have been working on behind the scenes in the near future to replace the current experience.

Whois stats still broken, months later. On the one hand, appreciate that there's a pandemic & staffing may be affected & appreciate that company deals in millions of domains and wants good, careful fixes. On the other hand, concerning that godaddy prioritizes whois less than users do.

It is not an easy fix unfortunately. While it is transparent to users like yourself the entire back end was redone so the old servers and architecture are gone and everything is running on a new one. The WHOIS lookups broke in the move. Redoing them is like doing it from scratch and it's not easy but it is being worked on.
The upside is that updating our technology allows us to perform better and make new updates faster than before to the domain control center (dcc). I can't get into the exact architecture but this is not an easy implementation.
The people running this stuff are basically replacing parts on a car while it is running full speed on a freeway. We are handling an immense amount of data and routing it correctly for millions of domains to resolve and be updated in pretty much real time with the rest of the Internet, most of the time seamlessly. In fact, I don't think anyone would have noticed that we made a big change to the DCC unless I said it here. We have to do that kind of thing regularly or we would be running our website on Windows 2k.
The team in charge of this really does care about the customers and works very hard to keep things working and will get this fixed. It is not lost on us that this is important.

i still dont list or know how to list names @ GD;

Not user-friendly; too many pay for “add-ons”

It's like 2 buttons to click with the new UI the released. You can do it via your domain control center for any domains you own at GoDaddy. https://www.godaddy.com/help/sell-my-domain-with-list-for-sale-27401 If not I would recommend you list them via Afternic.com for names not registered at GoDaddy as that will list them in multiple places at once including GoDaddy.
