I need to move 100 names from Godaddy. I am so tired of having to use coupons and DDC that has doubled in price when I renew.

What is the current best deal registrar that everyone is using?
I did find cloudflare is cheap, but not all tld and I wonder...?
Dynadot is 7.99 to transfer w coupon but 8.99 a year to renew.
Name was more $

Who is everyone using and if this has already been posted my apologies. Couldn’t find in a search.

Thanks for reading.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
The guys at tld-list.com are putting out some great info day in and day out, check them. (not affiliated).

As someone else here suggested already, send an email to Epik / @robmonster and let them know you're a domainer here from NamePros and they can often activate a special pricing for users here. I plan on doing a bulk transfer soon of all my names into Epik due to their pricing.

For domainers, probably Dynadot or Namesilo. They do not constantly spam and have consistent renewal pricing and good platform.

I don't know what their support is like because I've literally never had any problems or questions, for that matter. Everything you need to do can be done simply from their simple and easy client interface, which, to me, is ideal.

Domaining has its own challenges, so when I am at the registrar, I prefer to have relaxing, predictable experiences. That's just me. I am lame, though.

I like and use Uniregistry. Not as cheap as some others but very reasonable for the software interface provided to make your own sales. It was originally created more for domainers. I believe this is its strong point if you want to do your own sales. It is owned by GD however, that has
not seemed to change the quality. Something like Pepsi owning a pure juice company that you like.

I did email and was given a link to the pricing page on their site.

For me, at this time, Porkbun is the best.
They have low registration and renewal costs for most extensions.
Simple and fast interface (bulk actions included), Afternic fast transfer integration, URL forwarding, etc. They also have nice hosting options, including absolutely free WordPress hosting (ad-supported).

Dynadot is great as well.

Do Epik, Dynadot and Porkbun have Wire Transfer Option?

For me, I'll say Porkbun. Their services have been fantastic so far and their platform is easy to use.

epik all day everyday @Rob Monster
(CEO makes you feel VALUED)
i have all my domains with them!
“Never looked back” Nice perks constant epik innovation Feel more valued epik client with 1 domain, than GDDY as GDDY stockholder ; ) All-inclusive, no-nonsense.
❤️ epik.com

@Rob Monster can you confirm epik never lost 1 DN?

EPIK? I was big fan off epik and moved all my domains from Fabulous. Now I am moving all my domains back to Fabulous,, why?
Well, because what happen to me in epik. I got standard notice via email that some of my domains will soon expire. So I click on the links that took me to my dashboard and when I tried to renew it was not possible with one domain. Asked support - exchanged many chat's and email, even asked Rob directly for help, but didn't get any logical answer, just pink pong and solution. Then my domain id not appear in my portfolio and could not be renewed. I am moving back to Fabulous, with them I never had problem. I fell that I can't longer trust epik. Have all the proofs and screenshots! The funny thing or amazing thing was that I was able to register the same lost domain with another registrar (it wasn't even in redemption). I was VERY, very lucky

DynaDot to me. Why?
1- Competitive prices without coupons.
2- Frequent coupons to make prices event more competitive.
3- Bulk discounts (I renew .com at $8.5 instead of $8.99)
4- User-friendly and bug-free interface.
5- Support for AfterNIC fast transfer & Sedo MLS.
6- Support? I don't even need it.

My second favourite is NameBright. Great pricing and support but no support for AfterNIC fast transfer or Sedo MLS

Getting in is fine. But be aware some make it a super annoying long tedious process if you ever choose to bulk transfer out for a better deal.

To the point they have zero bulk out option.

I suggest ask this

Epik is not the best registrar, because of some issue I had with them, but I will defend them. I am transferring my domains from epik and so far no issues, delays or whatever. (yes I was little worried as well)

Hi

to me, there is no best
they all have faults and issues.

for years i was with enom, but currently using Fabulous.com

since being at Fab, i've dropped a few names, which get auto listed on NJ
and if they sell, then i get percentage
two days ago, got paid $82 for two domains that sold there.

those funds go back to my account, to renew or reg more names.
does your registrar do that for you?
:)

imo....

Hi

and just think...
that would still be a profit, for a hand regged name that you held 2 years.
not to mention any additional pennies it may have earned from ppc.

:)

imo....

have used many registrars and the best one for me is internet.bs
both their prices and their interface. Very easy to manage domains. Godaddy IMO is the worst and least convenient system to manage domains.

That is something I did not know and seems potentially a big advantage.
Are there other registrars with a similar arrangement with NJ (or other auction houses) that the former owner gets a cut?
I realize the owner can choose to place a name on NL, and potentially get benefits.
Thanks for valuable information, @biggie

My favorite is Dynadot, almost the best prices, there are frequent promos, the UI is great, I haven't had any bad experience with them ever.

You can also choose Namesilo, Epik, Porkbun, Name.com and Namecheap (these are equivalent regarding ease-of-use and cost). I'm also using Rebel, but in some cases their backend has hickups and their renewal system is... weird (but can be overridden). Uniregistry is great, but they don't seem to have a bulk reg option.

Sav offers very low fees, a (now) well-functioning UI and backend (there were major problems a few months ago), the downside is that you can't list your SAV names on DAN (well, you can, but the transaction will be cancelled --> the only way out is that when you receive Dan's notification about the sale, you need to immediately transfer the domain to another registrar).
