Can I buy a ".co.in" domain name if the ".in" is already used ?
Is it allowed ? Can I use it / resell it ? It is not a trademark.

It up to you. If you invest in it. In my opinion, the .co.in is not good to invest in. If you use it. Try to buy it first if the price is not high!

Look at the brands that use .co.in in India and then decide for yourself

Hello ladies and gentlemen. I am new to domaining and getting interested in hand-regging a few .in into my portfolio.

Quite unexpectedly, I have just found a 5L.in (a proper word in English dictionary) and Estibot shows $1xx,xxx had it been a .com

Since .in has been open for public registration from 2005, the chance of finding it available might be too good to be true. After listening to the advice here, Estibot should not be taken seriously.

With the above consideration, would you still go ahead and pick it up?

Any comments would be highly appreciated.

Estibot is just to be used as a guide.
if you put a popular video game, celeb name, car name with another word and search, estibot will gibe you wild estimates.

Buy the name on it's own merit
