Rick Schwartz sold BestOdds.com for $3.6 MILLION

As he known as DomainKing He sold the domain bestodds.com for
3 6(1.8+1.8)M

1.8M would be the royalty and @estibot appraisal price was $730 and now it's showing even lower $530 .( Keeps changing)
Also he commented on estibot and other domain appraisal tools #fail #fake and #f¢ukedup .

Before the page on his blog was removed in the last 12-hours, he stated:
"The domain itself is priced at $1.8 Million (that was also the listing price) and then I get 10 years of royalties which will be another $1.8 Million."

I'm quite surprised that no-one has noticed this (?)

This statement does nowhere say that it was sold (nor it does say it was sold for $1.8 Million) because the last part of the sentence ("... and then I get 10 years of royalties which will be another $1.8 Million.") can also be meant (and therefore understood) in a theoretical sense.

I simply granted his wishes in this particular situation.

The fact that you have removed your tweet about / and your blog post was not the causing reason for my doubts and it is a nice and exemplary gesture to comply with the buyer's wish.

The reason for my doubt was (and still is) simply the room for interpretation that comes along with some of your statements - and exactly this is again the case in your reply above.

To say it clear, your statement "This is a solid deal." is way too general (in this context) and could mean nearly anything - in other words, it is simply not a confirmation for DOMAIN ILLUMINATI, that you ...

... have sold your domain name bestodds.com for $3.6 million USD (without a discount) and that you already got (at least) the half of the money ($1.8 million USD) in cash or digitally transacted into your bank account (or crypto wallet)) from the buyer (I know that you never claimed that you already got the money - but "getting the money" is the most decisive part of any deal as we all know) and that ...

... this deal (especially the mentioned amounts) was (were) in no way cancelled or changed in any way and that all I described in this sentence ("To say it clear, your ... [...] ... happened.") happened.

In other words, you are still (and will always be) welcome to post a solid (to use "your" term) information = confirmation here regarding this sale - a post that does not allow any interpretation - and I (+ all others who are not sure how to interpret your words in terms of this matter) will be convinced about it, then I will instantly congratulate you with all my heart to your awesome deal.

All of this does not mean that I have missed your great criticism about the potential danger of "appraisal" - tools, you are absolutely right, they are not helpful and no seriously minded domainer will use these tools to valuate their or other's domain names, some even pay (?!) for using such tools - not knowing that the only valuation that effectively counts at the end is and will always be the one made by the owner.

Last but not least, to go sure that you won't get me wrong I want add that I do not doubt your word in any way (its just that one has to interpret other's words in the right way and if there is more than one interpretation possible, I am trying to find out which is the applicable one and then it can cause a discussion like this) and if we should ever have a deal I would send you every authcode (or money) before receiving any money (or authcode).

This thread just warrants why I don’t report sales anymore and keep business to myself, I came to this decision about a year ago.

A family member of mine who’s done quite well in life (money wise) told me, don’t tell anyone anything (money wise) not even family members, it will only make people jealous and you see that here and other threads where people report substantial sales, why I don’t know.

But what I will say is 1) Rick and his sales over the years have been proved as credible, why would he need to lie?

2) Rick (or anyone who reports sales) are not obligated to prove anything to you or anyone else for that matter, if you don’t believe them that’s for to decide. Only person they have to show credibility of a sale to is NameBio or Ron Jackson 'if' they want this sale officially documented.
