I think it was more he made his money selling .coms to end users, then made even more money selling new gtlds to newbies, took that money and bought more .com. He was always in the auctions buying .com. So he never ditched it. I know he doesn't post much on blogs but I remember when .sexy came out and he was pushing that, some truly horrible ones. I never believed he actually thought these new gtlds were great, just that he knew he could make some money from them. Imagine you're a newbie domainer and you see him saying how great these are.

Haven't checked in awhile but remember sales being lower and overall reg counts (new gtlds) are going down.

Down almost 3.5 million regs in just the last 8 weeks. That's about a 13% drop.

Just mho, but that is a shit list of extensions. I understand making money. I also understand knowing better and making money off of people who don't. It may be legal, but I'd sleep like shit knowing I'd sold that kind of crap to newbies who trusted my knowledge and success.
