I think this can be a good niche, providing the in future they will allow private ownership of personal flying vehicles.

I registered these back in the day:

hoverbiking.com
vtoling.com
vtolist.com

I let a few go that were connected to possible companies, but these three here I think can have a good outlook.

FAA Releases Vertiport Design Standards

WASHINGTON − The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) today released new design guidelines for vertiports, infrastructure that will support Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) aircraft. The design standards will serve as the initial step to provide key information for airport owners, operators and infrastructure developers to begin development of facilities that will support operations of AAM aircraft that are electrically powered and take-off and land vertically.

“Our country is stepping into a new era of aviation. These vertiport design standards provide the foundation needed to begin safely building infrastructure in this new era.” said Associate Administrator for Airports Shannetta Griffin, P.E.

These Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) operations will transport passengers or cargo at lower altitudes in rural, urban and suburban areas.

An Eight-Landing Pad Vertiport Will Open in Pennsylvania This Year

If you thought that the idea of taking an air taxi and flying above the road traffic without a care in the world still sounded impossible, we’ve got good news. A dedicated site for eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft, where they can charge, take off with passengers onboard and land, will be showing up in Pennsylvania before the end of this year.

How about ditching the U.S. 80 and State Route 322 that are typically used for driving to watch the Penn State games, and instead land in style, aboard a comfortable, cool-looking aircraft that’s also emission-free? This isn’t something that we’ve come up with, but the main inspiration for a trailblazing project – the first vertiport to be built in Pennsylvania.

The ones who plan to accomplish this great task are Volatus Infrastructure, who has developed an entire ecosystem for eVTOL operations, and the local Bellefonte Airport.

TheVertiport.com - I hand regged this a while back, since 'vertiport' by itself is taken in around 90 extensions (according to dotdb).

Also, I am brokering VTOL (dot com), in case anyone has a few $million they want to spend. I have brokered for this seller for many years :)

First commercial electric air taxi route announced In Chicago

Archer Aviation Inc. and United Airlines today announced plans to launch the first air taxi route in Chicago, between O’Hare International Airport and Vertiport Chicago.

Vertiport Chicago, North America’s largest vertical aircraft take off and landing facility, is located in the Illinois Medical District near the Chicago Loop. This site was selected as the takeoff and landing site for this airport to city center route because of its unparalleled convenience, access and service. From there, passengers will be able to travel to and from ORD via Archer’s Midnight aircraft in approximately 10 minutes. A similar trip by car can take upwards of an hour or more during rush hour traffic.

FAA plans to lay out its plans for air taxi operations by May 2023

"We know that when the Los Angeles Olympics get underway in 2028, air taxis will be in high demand. We may see some of them in the years leading up, but nowhere near the scale in 2028.

“Our job at the FAA is to make that possible. Next May, we will have an implementation plan that will allow us to match the industry’s tempo. 2028 is roughly when the agency’s next Congressional reauthorization will run through."

ZARAGOZA – site of Europe’s first urban vertiport

Zaragoza City Council has issued a permit for the provisional occupation of a land lot, with the aim of creating a vertiport there.

The future hub has also been described by media sources as Europe’s first vertiport located in an urban context.

It will be developed as part of the European Commission-supported project for urban air mobility – U-ELCOME.

Should SANTA BARBARA build a vertiport for electric aircraft?

Santa Barbara Airport continues to get busier year after year, and it’s got big plans to meet the demand expected over the next 20 years. Airport Director Chris Hastert stopped by city council this week to outline the updates to the 20-year master plan.

One potential project would be a vertiport for new 'electrical vertical takeoff' aircraft — which were described as 'oversized electric drones that carry four to six people.'

SAN ANTONIO to develop eVTOL infrastructure

"We are working with the FAA," Port San Antonio President and CEO Jim Perschbach said.

Perschbach said port officials would like to have an operational vertiport center in place by 2025.

The city of San Antonio has also shown interest in accommodating eVTOL aircraft.

In January, I reported that local officials were pursuing a long-term vision for Stinson Municipal Airport that could include vertiport facilities.

Skyportz ramps up plans to create national vertiport network in AUSTRALIA

Skyportz is ramping up its plans to create a national vertiport network after partnering with Electro.Aero to bring smaller and remote sites into the fold.

"The focus in the industry to date has been on larger vertiports located at existing airports," says Skyportz CEO Clem Newton-Brown. “However, if this industry is to reach its potential we need to break the nexus between aviation and airports and let private property owners develop their own vertiports."

British company eyes VERO BEACH, FLORIDA for air taxi service

Vero Beach Airport's Todd Scher says a London-based vertiport company, Skyports Infrastructure, has signed a letter of intent to lease city airport property.

Skysports is discussing details, including zoning, with Vero Beach officials.

In 2021, The Palm Beach Post reported about a partnership that eventually would lease space at the airport and provide 20-minute air taxi service to Miami.

Electric vertical take-off and landing machines could change our lives. Could we see results early in Vero Beach?
