The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
A simple search in namebio will answer some questions about overleap sale.
I tried a number of "simple searches" with namebio and found "$333 USD 2019 12 19". Was this your purchase price? Was this how long you held it since?

I could presume "yes" to both, but that's a lot of presumption, and doesn't answer when you listed it on the markets tbh. You could have bought it privately a year after that listed sale for $5k for all I know and held it for 3 months.

If you don't want to answer that's understandable.

Dude nobody owes you anything here

I wasnt talking like he owed me something...dude

I was just pointing some common lessons in politeness. I guess u don't get it how it's easier for one person to spend 2 mins posting info versus telling 1000s to go find it..that's 2mins vs 1000s of mins... it's ok if u dont get it.. to some like me its unthinkable logic defying behaviour.. not to mention rude and lacking respect of people time...

whatever.. for everything else there is the ignore button..

Before anyone else gets their knickers in a twist.......1st page of this thread states...

"As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller."

Anything else is a bonus.........

Thanks Nick for pointing it out...

Unfortunately here it is like their right and stupid sarcasm in asking the details...

This happens for every sale...

Remember guys these sales are info shared by sellers for free and there is no rule to corner them for anything else.

Of course one can share extra info and it's their wish not our right...so don't go and show your stupidity for each sale.

That is pathetic... every time.

Thanks for understanding.

Hope this and other commitments will be removed and only sale posts are posted here.

Thanks.

Stop being mean to judgemind! He helped us all out!

If you can't ask for details nicely-- then don't ask. We're not required to give more than the minimum!

It's this insulting comments after willingly sharing sails that made me stop posting my own sails!

u all miss the point..
there is diff between saying...no more info shared...vs saying... go find it on namebio

I got no issue with 1st one.. 2nd one annoys me.

Sure, I understand what you're saying. I thought it was a bit strange too. But maybe he was mobile, in a hurry, and couldn't remember the exact price. But gave us the info to find it ourselves. Really no big deal. Just let it go. Please.

well I know its so bad that it makes u wanna come up with all nice explanations..like he was mobile... but the truth is none of that... he just really for no reason wants us to waste time in this way... like that other bigshot teacher guy who once said to research namebio so we actually learn something... well this is bit less bad tho...the other was total role play fetish lol..I tell u u give some people pro badge and they think they hot stuff lol

@Nikul Sanghvi

Very nice sale record! Congrats!

.co looks cool - but the renewal fee is significantly higher than .com, .net and .org. May I ask what made you start collecting many .co?

Thanks.

Thanks @CK_Yau - I started buying .CO domains because:

1) I could see real world adoption from startups and small businesses
2) I started to see a steady flow of sales in Namebio
3) In previous years (before the registry created premium tiers), there was significantly better margins
4) During that time, I could find strong SLDs for less than $10, many that were taken in 50+ extensions

I still am optimistic for .CO but I don't know if that same opportunity still exists today. The extension is a lot more mature, there is increased competition, the registry moves the best domains into premium tiers and overall, prices are higher / margins are tighter.

@Nikul Sanghvi

Very good insight. Thanks for the sharing.

I have only started domaining a few weeks ago - I am reading as much as I can in this forum to pick up. May I ask how much % is your sale rate so I can have a realistic estimate on my inventory?

Thank you ... you can see the details of my portfolio performance here (including % Sell Through Rate):
https://www.namepros.com/threads/almost-a-decade-of-domaining.1056328/page-7#post-8134225

Using my %STR will not necessarily tell you how your own portfolio will perform - because there will be many other factors, such as the quality of your inventory, your sales strategy and your pricing methodology.

I think the industry average is generally 1% to 2% sell through per year. You should think about this when you plan for what to buy, how to price and how quickly you need to break even.

Good luck on your journey!

Afternic BIN, hold time 6 months.

I think this one was undersold by mistake (especially now in Covid world...), but nevertheless, money in the bank right now for more purchases.

Great sales!

Nice strategy, pricing domains in the $xxx. Approx how many names do you sell monthly at such price and what is your sell-through rate?
I tend to price names higher, but sometimes I auction them via Namejet. For the names I price in the $x,xxx range of course my sell through rate is much lower.

Congrats on your sales!

Hard to say cause it fluctuates, 5-6% last time I checked - solely on this range.

It depends - as strategy. I have volume so it is worth for me, but its' not always a good strategy for everyone else.

Most domains I have are not priced in the xxx range but from 4 to 5-fig. This low pricing is mostly for those I don't intend to renew when time ends.
