Rick Schwartz sold BestOdds.com for $3.6 MILLION

As he known as DomainKing He sold the domain bestodds.com for
3 6(1.8+1.8)M

1.8M would be the royalty and @estibot appraisal price was $730 and now it's showing even lower $530 .( Keeps changing)

Also he commented on estibot and other domain appraisal tools #fail #fake and #f¢ukedup .

He sure knows the best odds of holding certain names!

Congrats and if only we all decided to stop donating amazing names to people maybe others would become millionaires from domaining.

Yes. Domain sellers should do themselves a favor and stop using those valuations. They're always working against the potential future value.

Such a great deal @Rick Schwartz
I have also started to invest in some brandable (x2 keyword COMs). After this, I could never take the appraisal tools seriously. Hope to see some good sales this year. :xf.wink:

Another money laundery and/or pumping the domain industry without a real sale.

I agree that the sale should be verified. Maybe @Ron Jackson can help us with that. However, if it is a money laundry scheme, then wouldn't you think it would be a profound gaffe to announce it to the world via tweet or blog post?

It is very probable that the sale was not all pure cash.

lol that estibot appraisal at $730 :D... I'm not even sure $730 exists when you're dealing with $3,600,000.00. Would you even notice if you lost $730?

No, it's not money laundry scheme. I believed king will not do this.

When you become a famous people, you may received an invite to have a insider deal with a insider that have power to buy a product / service for their company. Then, they will split the $$$ according to their private agreement after the deal. :xf.cool:

Not many people can rejects the bait. No matters which products or service and they just keep happening, that's the reason why many people want to become a famous person.:xf.rolleyes:

Many years ago, a Chinese business insider want to have a deal with me and I rejected it. :stop:

$1.8m price + royalties of $1.8m in 10 years. Well that's possibly not all cash deal, but still huge win for @Rick Schwartz. Cograts.

The domain was listed for 1.8M and he sold it for double that through negotiation. Let that sink in.

Let's be honest, if any of us saw this on auctions today, how many would pay more than the estibot appraisal? Let alone 4, 5, 6, 7 figures as an end-user. Ridiculous. But it only takes one buyer who is in love with a name.

Rick and I started out at the same time and look at where he is and where I am now.
I must do something wrong.
Hang on, let me check with my wife.

She is planning on spending everything anyway.
