$2400 registration for est. revenue in 250-1000 USD is bad idea.

2400$ is only registrar price for that 'premium' domain. It doesn't mean anybody want to pay that amount. XYZ is not in kind of first choice domains, i showed how it looks in nearest past by NameBio.

14 to 15k, if it doesn't hae a high renewal. If its like $300 or $400 a year, $2500

In the last year there have been around 100 xyz sales according to namebio. None above 4 figures, and plenty of premium single word ones have gone for low four figures. This is because it's an xyz and not everyone wants them.

In the past 3 months only 16 sales in xyz in total, 1 at $1k and the rest three figures, going down to low 3 figures for most of them.

In July last year "usa.xyz" sold for $510, after that in 2 years there have only been 5 sales listed in Namebio for three letter sales. In 2 years, and all are low $$$.

It'll probably sell given it's a super premium 3 letter word, but to be realistic the predicted price and time to hold for a sale is anyone's guess. You'll probs get low 4 figures if you hold it long enough, but, you also may just never sell it.

if it has a $2400 registration, it isn't een worth reg fee.

I had registered (Dictionary Word) .xyz from Porkbun for ~ $0.99. $2400 must be for some premium domains.

My post about $ 2,400 was more of a clarification that 3-letter domains are expensive. Most domains with dictionary words will be available and cost $0.99, but 3-letter domains...

yes ... that's true. Some of the 3L .co is still available to register but almost all of them are premium.

here are the sales results from Namebio with the keyword dad:

dad.co 8,102 USD 2020-01-27 Sedo
dad.fr 2,827 USD 2015-09-02 Sedo
dad.com.au 7,429 USD 2015-08-16 Private
dad.net 17,444 USD 2008-03-07 NameBio.com
dad.mobi 1,444 USD 2007-10-03 Sedo

as you can see $xxxx is not an unreasonable price. good luck.

Think dad.xyz has a yearly $350 renewal fee .

You better sell fast or develop .

Providing that dad.xyz has been grandfathered in at the standard renewal rate it’s worth keeping. It’s a great keyword. Unfortunately .xyz just isn’t very popular. There aren’t many .xyz sales over a few hundred dollars.
