What you are saying above is basically racism does exist. Yeah, no shit.
I know plenty of people who deal with the exact same issues.

But you are somehow upset at me for whatever reason...makes sense.

Brad

not upset .... it would just be better if you don’t exactly try to speak for Black Americans ... I know you are supporting the rid racism cause .. and that is a great thing ... but you can post things that may be offense to Black Americans and not be aware of it .. I am just saying

Brad the problem is those who instigate the racial division and ignite the “fuels of hate” under the gist.

Do you believe this?
Extreme leftist views of what you’re saying, do.

I am confused where I spoke for black people exactly. That is why I asked for a citation.

Read this letter Brad.

It’s everything wrong with America and....

lThis is what made Megyn pull her kids... What u portray

Another strawman. You are trying to insert an argument or position I never made.

To the original point. Andrew Jackson owned 150+ slaves. Andrew Jackson was responsible for the Indian Removal Act, one of the darkest chapters in American history. There were plenty of other objectively awful things he did as well.

You can call it whatever you want. People need to learn about that stuff, not just the overly rosy positive achievements while fully ignoring those facts. You learn the good and the bad then form your own conclusions.

Racial division?

you literally said “whitewashing”!

I dont think that’s a real thing.
i’m sorry, it’s an ambiguous, vague, extremist term.

Not sure what your problem is exactly. You interjected yourself into something completely unrelated.
Maybe you should take a break from the internet. I am not sure why you are so triggered.

How is your marriage, in any way, relevant to learning about American history?

Brad

my marriage is American History ... if you don’t live it .. you don’t really know anything aside from literature from a book ... living it is on a whole nother level ... you far more understand it .. you understand the Black American culture .. living that creates a more complete understanding of .. Why ... were... when and how

Putting a black lady on a $20 bill ... I know black people who will not even except a $20 bill .. but when placing a Black American person on something ... know what you are doing .... just a piece of advise .... I know your intentions are good ... do you know why Black Americans would dislike a $20 bill ... I know it sounds petty ... but these things are not petty to Black Americans

Whitewash is not even referring to race. It is a popular term.

Metaphorically, whitewashing refers to suppression or "glossing over" (possibly a close parallel construction) of potentially damaging or unwelcome information.

The fact that you have never heard of it is just incredulity.

Feel free to use something like glossing over, ignoring, painting an overly positive picture if you would prefer.

many many things ... being followed in department stores because they my wife and are going to steal merchandise .... not at every store of course .. but it happens .... having people whispering to each other while looking at my wife and I ... people calling my son an Oreo , and other stuff ... after 27 years ... I could write a book of all the racist shit we have taken ... and I have a very large second family of Black American in-laws that I very closed to ... some don’t exactly white people ... while others do like white people ...
I appreciate that - and your sharing.

It sounds like lots of such experiences would take a toll on anyone and serve as perpetual reminders of immutable characteristics. Yet I hope you and yours have far more on being treated as individuals/ by your character.

An oreo should be a compliment, of course. And make sure you don't excuse your White boy language yourself as that is no different.

She is on the bill because of her importance in American history, not because she is just black or a women. It is rather ironic that she is re-placing a prominent slave owner that also lead the trail of tears. You have someone who was fighting for equality, not fighting against it.

True. I can't remember the last time I actually used physical cash, even before COVID.
I might use it at a swap meet or something if someone doesn't take a credit card or digital payment.

Andrew Jackson was a cruel ... inhuman mother fucker ... ... the bastard is important because we learned what not to be .. just as the rest of history ... although we can be mad at it ... even try to relive it ... we use history as guide of what not be .. we can never remove it .. if we chose to keep our minds in it and not learn from it and move forward ... we remain stagnant ..

the system goes backwards ... when we make it go backwards ... there is times when a little rewind is necessary.... but to stop the picture and stay there is toxic for all of humanity.... it is as close as completely reliving history without actually being there .... once issues are under correction and results can be seen resolution ... it’s time to move forward and into the future ahead of us IMO

our country has always been a nation of immigration.... there isn’t hardly one race of people in the country that haven’t done evil ... it’s when races start playing “ mine is bigger than yours””” that has always caused divide in America ... this is as old as America itself
