I am thinking of creating a white-label marketplace for my keyword domains.

My question is, which of the following 3?:

GloriousNames, GloryNames, or YieldDomains? (all on dot.com)

If you can explain the reason why that would be awesome!

Thank you! :)

I just regged NameMont (.) com, which I think I like above all other options, most likely because of the influence of French, which is my second mother tongue.

Will it work well with the English speaking market? What do you think?

Thank you! :)

It might match be a good match for French audience. For English audience, its okayish as its the term is not known (like against NameMonk.com, which would be more memorable for English audience)

All the Best!

@sellian are you naming your site for yourself or to attract your clientele?

Short, memorable, easily spellable, radio test and all that. But as a startup you want something inexpensive, preferably hand reg 'cos you can't get a lower price that that.

nommont.com? If you want French in there make it all French and think of that clientele. "Name mountain", nom mont. Not sure which way round that would go in French. montnom.com gives you "mountain name" as a palindrome but doesn't trip of the tongue quite so smoothly. Still sounds good to me though. Both are 7 letters, memorable, montnom probably easier to spell if heard rather than read. But of the two only nommont.com is available for hand reg. And it sounds a lot better than namemont.com or glorynames.com (OK for the younger set but your clients will be of all ages).

You are selling domain names, which in turn support brands of your clients at every visit to the sites they build on your names, plus with every email that goes out using that domain name as the address. They want to build those brands big. Mountain sized, in fact.

Also, a little bit different, refreshingly so. Look at the adverts on this site. Most contain domain, name or brand, or variants thereof. To the point it has become tedious (I've made the same mistake in naming my own business). So, name your mountain in French and use that domain as the brand to build your mountain sized business with.

I like the idea to associate name and mountain. What about something like WeNameMountains.com which would suggest you provide good domain names for serious/big projects?

Hi Mike, thanks a lot for your feedback! I don't know why I can't like comments anymore! :grumpy:

The idea was to find the best and cheapest (hand reg.) name possible for my own market place where I can promote all my names (brandables and keywords).

Thanks a lot for your suggestions but they don't sound very “natural“ to me in French. Mont Nom sounds exactly like Mon Nom (my name) in French, so it's confusing. Nommont I like may be better but it's still kind of awkward.

As an example, I own Nermont and Birmont (both in com), which I think are much more “natural“ sounding French names, they are both listed on Alter BTW.

The thing is that I would not like to go completely French as my idea is to attract mainly English-speaking buyers (98% of my names are English-rooted names).

I just got inspired by NameMont and regged a similar version but all in English: NamePinnacle (.) com. It's much longer but more effective and with more personality, as Pinnacle means the highest point, the culmination. Would you agree?

This is BTW the last name I will register for this purpose! :xf.grin:

I will most probably pick one of the above and sell all the others here at NP, so I am already accepting any offer(s) for any of the names. :xf.smile:

Thanks again!

Hi Tomsa, thanks a lot! I find it a little too long, to be honest :/

I just regged Name Pinnacle in king, what do you think?

Thank you! :)

Great idea. Or, even better, PinnacleNames.com. But if you don't want to spend any more (and I don't even know if it's available), go with NamePinnacle.com.

Remember, you're selling domain names. What impression does using anything other than a .com for your own site give? Unless you are specialising in another tld and you have considerably more of that one than of any of the others. Even if you are just starting out.

Yes, my French isn't good enough, just trying to prod your creative mindset into action. It worked! :xf.smile:

I am always logged in, I still don't have the option to like comments. Do you have it on this thread?

Unfortunately, PinnacleNames is already taken and PinnacleDomains too :/. And don't want to spend more than a hand reg for this purpose.

I think NamePinnacle is the one I like the most. It sounds more professional than the others, and it has a bit of boldness/sassiness which I kinda like :)

Thanks again!

Hey! You're right! Those options are missing from all posts in this thread. Maybe something to do with the way the "Requests" section is configured? I really don't know.

It's weird, at the beginning we were able to like comments but now the option has been removed for some unknown reason :/
