All those haters of America from other countries have lost their destructive American wannabe dictator

America haters are delighted. You guys are back in charge. The total destruction of US hegemony has been stepped up. Though, in the meantime, innocent people in many countries around the world can look forward to having their women and children murdered by the most diverse cabinet in history. That should make them feel better.

It would be cool to get the record straight today if possible .... @JB Lions and @TestCase ... God forbid something happen to President Biden ... but he is over the age of life expectancy ...Would either of you have worries about Kamala Harris taking the seat of the President... Knowing that she is a Progressive???

it's blasphemy to talk about the "Suicide Forest".

Some Social media guy almost got cancel cultured for going inside, venturing and video taping an actual body committed suicide there. (WHY THE **** have "Suicide Forest"???!! Smh.
I hope Japan has disassociated itself with this pathetic notion "suicide" = bravery, honor.
I see it as the coward's way out

Not blasphemy - not by a long shot. We have more freedom of speech here than in the US. Actually many countries do these days. (And half of the country doesn't hate the other half with different political views.)

The social media guy pranced around a dead guys body giggling. A guy who committed suicide being used for lowbrow entertainment. That's disgusting and inhumane. In America, that's entertainment.

And there is no honor associated with suicide, just like there are no samurai or ninja. The notions some people have...

Is it just me, or does everyone else picture and hear the voice of poor, sad, morose Marvin from A Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy every time you read one of Domainace's posts?

I am glad you are thinking of me. I had to look that up because I found Hitchhiker's Guide boring...

"Marvin is afflicted with severe depression and boredom, in part because he has a "brain the size of a planet"[1] which he is seldom, if ever, given the chance to use. Indeed, the true horror of Marvin's existence is that no task he could be given would occupy even the tiniest fraction of his vast intellect. "

Oh...ok, you are right.

Except for the depression. Have people around me, family and kids that prevent that. Hard to get depressed with kids.

Not really. If there is a major earthquake, you may be happy you have an earthquake survival kit and an earthquake proofed home. But you're not happy about the earthquake.

I wouldn't have any worries.

Just like with the T-man, If I don't care for what happens under her watch, I will make my voice heard going in to the next election and push for a change. This is one of the great things about having elections every 4 years and term limits. There is only so much damage someone can do - and T-man seriously tested those limits - before there's an opportunity to make a change.

Interesting and revealing data, many Trumpers would probably choose to ignore (dispells myths about America). Hong Kong may have dropped in rank now, with Canada and Australia probably tied for third spot (enjoying the most freedom). :joyful:

Poor JB knows not what he quotes:

The Cato Institute is a libertarian think tank based in Washington, D.C. founded in January 1977 by Charles Koch

These data are silly anyway, unless you understand how the numbers are formed. Japan and the US have near identical numbers in human freedom, and the survey doesn't take into account the primitive laws the US has with regard to the American "diaspora."

And for Cannuck. Note that the number went up during the Trump years. Why would that be inconvenient for Trump supporters?

Canada doing well, Nordic countries and course Switzerland ranking, 2, 5, and 8.

We should go on your feelings I guess. I use legit sources. You just make stuff up. You post alot of bs about Japan vs. America. Easy to take apart like I just did. Again.

Maybe it would pressure Japan to add anti Suicidive measures than stupid sign in front.

They do actually. There are volunteers looking out for people like these. That said, people can kill themselves anywhere. I wouldn't choose a dank forest - but to each his own. I know one guy who hung himself in a cheap hotel room. I would have used the best hotel in town - especially knowing I wouldn't have to pay for it in the morning!

The real difference between Japan and the US is that life insurance pays out even for suicides (after a certain probation period. I think mine was 2 years.) So there is no motivation for a person to make it look like an accident, or for a doctor to avoid labeling it suicide.

Trump (originally Drumpf) wrote in his book "The Art of the Deal" that his family came to US from Sweden (actually from Germany). His father Fred was a Nazi profiteer. The truth carries a weight that no lie can counterfeit.

You are changing the subject here.

But you must know that many of the richest corporations and people in the US were Nazi profiteers - right up until 1940, when they took a 5 year break. And anyone boycotting BMW and Mercedes Benz here?

"During periods of war and anti-German discrimination in the United States, Trump's son Fred later denied his German heritage, claiming his father had been a Swede from Karlstad, Sweden. This version was repeated by Fred's son Donald in his 1987 autobiography."

So he did it in response to discrimination? Welcome to America!

For most of my life, I was taught that my mother's side came from Latvia. Only recently did I learn that it might have been Lithuania or Russia - depending on the timeline and other factors.

Not changing the subject, but rather speaking about truths of the matter. Actually Trump and Biden have rivalled over their Jewishness.
