Side note as far as all those troops and such and vetting. I'm sure there are different levels of vetting and it's not like they're all going to be bunched up, it'll be layers. Closest to Biden I'm sure will be thoroughly vetted. I don't expect any issues.

I'm sure this year there will be a lot of stories of what they find when they get into the White House. Details of things passed that might have went under the radar.

We have Melania desecrating bowling balls:

"She had the [bowling] balls redone with lettering 'The President’s House,' not 'The People’s House.'"

Sometimes people just push it too far.

Biden will get to the Presidential bedroom and say, so this is what it's like, Obama never let me in. One day, late at night, when he's fiddling around the night stand, he might accidentally tap a certain section and a secret drawer will pop out with Trump's leftover Adderall stash.

We all know Obama was many kinds of smoker...
He “Fought for the Bong.” pretty sure also comes crash.

Can you define what you mean by "socialism" exactly? It would help to know what your specific definition is.

Many people are against the boogeyman "socialism", but when polled about actual policies to do with healthcare, education, etc. they support what could be considered socialistic policies by a wide margins.

Brad

I oppose Socialism as it is fully written ... although when a person reads socialism it is extremely attractive ... it rarely has been run by the book ... the temptation of full power dictatorship has overwhelmed the theory... that causing countries to collapse or be heading toward communism .

I totally agree with many references .... such as medical .... or universal medical .. I am Pro Obamacare ... universal medical care would be awesome .. as long as the care patients receive is genuine .... funding for the elderly ... social security will not even pay apartment rent ... funding for the homeless and solutions to end people having to live on the streets .... even its metal container living communities for the homeless .. that is far better that we have right now ... although I am not pro free college ... I am for the government to lower tuition and completely stop price and interest rate gouging on college students ...

I am also pro for supplemental funding for the poverty stricken ... people who are trying to help themselves .... deserve help getting over that poverty hump ..

if I could actually see the above happen ... I happily pay the taxes to do it ... seeing people suffer is not what I want to reap benefits off of ... paying a higher tax rate ... while lowering crime ... poverty and starvation of the less fortunate would be very satisfying... sign me up

yeah ... I am sure they have several things they do besides just run a background check ... there are probably certain things that may not seem like anything to us .. but will throw up a red flag to the people doing the vetting ... I expect all will be calm and fine as well

I don't get it. The dude is in the national guard, not a professional speaker.

It is clear what he is talking about. The control of the military is being transitioned from one President to the next. You guys are really grasping at straws now.

Come 12:01 PM on Wednesday Joe Biden will be president.

Brad
Sounds good Brad, enjoy.

This morning someone posted a comment on Reddit about a call of Marshall law could happen .... there has to be a reason to use executive order for Marshall law ... President Trump is moving on .. Joe Biden will be inaugurated .... we will see how it goes under Biden just like we have every other president ... I will continue to work on and build guitars ... enjoy my animals and property .. have date night with the wife every week .... go fishing and hunting ...

Trump can declare martial law or invoke the Insurrection Act or whatever he wants, they do not work how many of his supporters seem to think they do. It does not give the President some superpowers to just stay President.

To the people rooting for this or supporting this, it is un-American. You don't like the results of democracy, fine, run a better candidate. Quit trying to turn America into some 3rd world dictatorship.

Come noon, on January 20th his term as President expires per the 20th amendment.

Rudy Giuliani voted with an affidavit ballot, which he bashed in failed effort to overturn election

https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/18/politics/rudy-giuliani-affidavit-ballot-vote-kfile/index.html

Shocker. Trump also voted via absentee ballot, like he has many times in the past.

No problem for them, but fraud for anyone else. A bunch of hypocrites.

Brad
All the legal paths were taken to include SCOTUS ... I am not happy with the amount of incidents that happened while vote counting was taking place .. everything is signed ..sealed and just hours away from delivery now ... hopefully next election there won’t be so many incidents

“We don’t follow you,” another Telegram user wrote, addressing Trump, after the president put out his video urging calm and order. “Be quiet and get out of our way.”

So Trump didn't incite them? You are sending mixed signals

I am guessing around 200 people entered the Capitol ... which was a bad thing of course ...

So is jaywalking. The capitol is supposed to belong to the people. When people are unhappy with their regime, they normally focus on government buildings. This is almost a tradition around the world. Only in the US and North Korea do they consider a government building sacred.

Capitol rioter plotted to sell stolen Pelosi laptop to Russian intelligence

Russia again,, sigh

Systematic racism does not mean majority, it means inside a system.

Sorry to be a pedant, Brad, but you mean "systemic," not "systematic."

Funny how addiction works - some people are more prone. When I lived in LA and SF some people would constantly have coke out for their guests, like after dinner mints. I never felt the need for it, though some friends really went off the deep end. Same with cigarettes. On the other hand, fermented beverages call to me!

I still think one of the factors behind all the craziness in the US is prescription drug overuse. It's shocking how many people, even kids, take psychotropic drugs. Couple that with the world's largest prison population and highest arrest rates, and you have one part of what's wrong with the country.

Seems like that's a big issue in Japan. Serious alcohol problem. That and suicide. Seems repressed, Police States, you have more of that. Couple that with a 99%+ conviction rate. Alcohol to cope. Suicide for those that can't cope anymore.

Japanese Alcohol Culture
Alcohol consumption has dropped in most industrialized countries—but not Japan.

"In Japan, there is no societal acknowledgment of alcoholism. For much of Japanese society, addiction to alcohol doesn't exist. In fact, binge drinking to the point of blacking out has been normalized. You can buy shots of alcohol from vending machines. Just as there are stand-up noodle shops (i.e., there are no seats for sitting), there are similar stand-up bars to service many white-collar workers who have limited outlets to cope with the stressors of life."

Still hurt i see?

We’re finally on the same side

The crackpot crack cocaine laws were racial in nature.
Since your boy Biden helped drafted that mistake; he’s justifying the cause for what led to the legislation. (it’s only conveniant to admit “racist” when anti-Democratic.

i think if he admits disparity in federal sentencing for crack and cocaine were racial; he admits he’s racist
