Just a reminder that Donald J. Trump is the President and hasn't yet conceded the election so we must wait for an inauguration of Joseph R. Biden to see a bonafide transition of power.

I'm not saying it isn't going to happen but I wouldn't bet the deep freeze and it's contents that it is.

Just a reminder, according to the Constitution the term of president ends on January 20th at noon.

It does not require a concession.

If he does not leave voluntarily he will be removed by force if needed.

20th amendment -

The terms of the President and the Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January, and the terms of Senators and Representatives at noon on the 3d day of January, of the years in which such terms would have ended if this article had not been ratified; and the terms of their successors shall then begin.

Yeah, alongside the re-education camps there are probably going to be forced gender reassignment camps as well...

Some of the fearmongering is completely over the top.

There are not going to be re-education camps. You can't even have legit discussion on policy with nonsense like that.

No it's not. I doubt they will come to pass, but people are talking about it. When even countries with harsh laws against certain speech like Germany say they are concerned about freedom of speech in your country, you might stop and wonder why. Free speech is the bedrock of democracy. Doesn't matter if the government illegally takes it away or private companies band together to "legally" take it away - the result is the same.

In fact, you "liked" a post earlier suggesting mandatory psychiatric commitment for "racists." You want us to believe that a mock gallows and some angry and vocal protestors are attempted assassination... Yet calls to arrest and commit people accused of being racist are not to be taken seriously?

Much of it was already struck down by courts, and what is left is diluted anyway.

Yeah, there is no Constitutional given right to force Twitter or FB to allow you to use their services.

Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences from private companies.

The first amendment only protects against the government limiting speech, and there have been multiple court cases about things that are not considered free speech like inciting language or certain unqualified medical advice.

But dont deny the obvious.. Greatest Prez in history!.

During a period of economic growth, Trump did little to instill public confidence (lied more than any other prez), denied science (medical and environmental), divided the country through partisan politics (eroded faith in democracy), and ballooned the national debt by over 30% (increased by over $7T in less than 4 years). The facts speak louder than Trumpist propaganda.

You remember that time Saudi Arabia murdered and dismembered a journalist from the Washington Post, or the vast majority of 9/11 hijackers were from there but then we attacked Iraq...for reasons.

They also have an abysmal record with human rights.

Saudi Arabia is not our ally.

Yeah, well nothing happens in Saudi Arabia on that level without the prince being involved.

He can deny it all he wants, all the evidence was clear as day that he authorized and closely monitored the operation. The way Trump looked the other way, and even defended the prince was embarrassing.

Neither party will put pressure on Saudi Arabia. In fact, some are quite happy with the new crown prince. He is ruthless and cruel. But he is also reducing Wahhabism and liberalizing women's rights.

US foreign policy changes very little with presidents, despite what the media will have you think.
