Hi everyone,

Today I’m very excited to share the acquisitions of some ultra premium .CO domains which took me several months of negotiation and finally ended up with buying the following domains:

Business.CO – This domain was once sold for $80,000 in 2011 and there was a lot of buzz around it. One of the best keywords to own. As per DotDB, this keyword ranks at #47 from the most registered number of extension counts.

News.CO – I believe this is another fantastic domain which was once sold for $50,000 back in 2011. and great to own in .CO extension. As per DotDB, this keyword ranks at #32 from the most registered number of extension counts. By the way, I’ve this .CO the best in terms of number of extension counts.

Finance.CO – After Business.CO and News.CO, this is my 3rd best .CO domain under my portfolio as well as from this list. This domain was previously sold for $45,000.

Below are the rest of the .CO domains I acquired and I don’t really feel the need to write commentary along with each domain. Although I don’t need to share for the above 3 domains as well but I’m just thrilled to share my excitement

MEN.CO

SKI.CO

GIN.CO

Internet.CO

Hosting.CO

Fish.CO

Commodity.CO

Auctions.CO

Whiskey.CO

Automotive.CO

Vodka.CO

Brandy.CO

Tequila.CO

Holland.CO

Merchant.CO

According to NameBio.com, all the above domains were sold in the year 2011 except Merchant.CO and the total sales amount was almost $400,000. Fast forward to 2020, I can tell you one thing that I paid little less than Business.CO (which sold for $80,000 in 2011) for ALL the above domains I’ve recently acquired. And that too in 2020 when the .CO market is booming.

ALL of the above domains except Fish.CO and Merchant.CO were acquired privately and were transferred to my account first before I made the payment.

On the other hand, I added a handful of 3L .CO domains which I believe do always good if bought at the right price and combination.

ACR.CO
AFA.CO
AXC.CO
CTT.CO
EIH.CO
FDL.CO
FLD.CO
HDB.CO
HHW.CO
HSR.CO
HTB.CO
JCJ.CO
JVR.CO
KBP.CO
KDK.CO
KGC.CO
KKE.CO
KMW.CO
LFT.CO
LHE.CO
LHL.CO
LOE.CO
LUB.CO
MFK.CO
MLH.CO
MXS.CO
OLF.CO
PGF.CO
PGI.CO
RXI.CO
SLZ.CO
SYL.CO
TGB.CO
TPD.CO
VFI.CO

Feel free to share your recent .CO acquisitions and/or give feedback on my recent purchases.

@AbdulBasit.com

Congrats again!

So looking at these purchases, it looks like .co is your second favorite after .com.
You perhaps like .co more then .org and .net right ?

Thank you Steven!
Although I like .net and .org but I've personally seen more success in .CO if I compare with .net and .org considering the number of domains and hold time. So yes, my second favorite is .CO and the very next is .net

Thanks a lot for such a quick reply!

And, .cc though close to .co is nowhere near in terms of value.
Why do you think there is no craze for .cc ?

Is it because .co sounds more like a company and looks more similar to a .com ?

Because, that way .cc is as short as .co, but there is hardly any interest for this extension..

I've similar thoughts like you about the difference between .co and .cc extension. Also there is another reason that the .cc registry never really tried to promote like .co did right from the beginning.

Crazy good portfolio. Now, this makes the .co topic twice as interesting...:xf.wink:

Inspired by @Nikul Sanghvi methods and data, I created a tiny and hopefully liquid .co portfolio that contains a few premium domains that met the 3 criteria - single English word (or buzzword), commercial applicability and branding potential. These names are: haywire, multiservice, transmedia, voiceprint and Yucatan, plus 3 non-premium: linzer, pyroshop and vinoteque).
Considering the market trends and judgment of brilliant domainers like @Nikul Sanghvi and @AbdulBasit.com I am glad and excited to have a few .co names. Good luck AB!

Couldn't help but be amazed with your astounding acquisition. Congrats @AbdulBasit.com. I can definitely feel that air of excitement and optimism which makes me wish that someday I too would have the privilege of owning a similar kind of portfolio.

Those 2 word .CO domains look good but I'm not much into 2 words so I can't say much about them. I've seen them selling well for 3 and even 4 figures on regular basis. Good luck with your domains!

@Nikul Sanghvi has some of the best domains in .CO and I always admire his buys and sales.

.net also sells.
It is simply that there are more inventory of one word .co than .net

The way it was written comes across as telling people to dismiss .org & net in favour of those others because they "have had their day" when this is not the case.....there was no mention of 1 words just a sweeping generalisation of the extensions.....I did not check 2020 sales for .net

Thank you Alex (y)

The main reason I started sharing with you all was to make aware how Afternic landers are performing for my domains so others can gauge and decide accordingly for their portfolios.

all these .

If you read the first post of this thread where I've said this:
