Can NP consider adding a piece of code to the auction threads, stating that if thread equals auctions category, then display number of hours since posted

Since all auctions are set to something like "Auction Ends 72 Hours After Last BID" it would be very helpful to have an hour/minute since posted displayed on each post so buyers and sellers could see when the time was up. It can be confusing because you don't know if the date/time that's posted is server time, your local time, or other time.

Hello,

New features are being built that will solve this. ;)

Hope that helps,

It's been over a year and there doesn't seem to be any changes in the auctions area.

Each post in the auctions forum should have a small "Posted 32 hours ago" type of text under the post.

I'm sure most auction users would find this useful.

No update on this?
Thanks for the reminder so we could move it to our new Feature Requests section.

Here's an update that we provided in another thread that's relevant to this one, too:
Shortly after the upgrade of our forum software is completed. It's a big undertaking because NamePros has a lot of customizations, but once it's upgraded, we'll all start to see new features appearing quickly after members request them.

Stay tuned. :)

Does NamePros plan on keeping everything on the current XenForo message board script, or is it going to start a separate online service for domain sales, similar to how the SitePoint message board started Flippa?

For now, yes. The current roadmap is to keep everything within the forum software, but the dev team did develop a stand-alone marketplace that may or may not be offered in the future.
