How long do you wait to list hand registered domains in marketplaces? Do you list immediately? Wait out the 60 day transfer lock? Does it depend on registrar, or other factors?

I always add the name to Afternic and Dan immediately, except if I submit it to Squadhelp first.

No worries about transfering it so early at all?

If you are lucky enough to sell the domain during the first 60 days, you either push it to the buyer's account at the same registrar, or they have to wait until the domain is free to transfer. What are you afraid of?

Frustrated customer. Angry marketplace itself. Difficulties transfering. I do have a few domains in lesser known registrars.
I know that Dan.com is very helpful. I sold a few names in Afternic, but don't know how "other side" looks from point of customer. How helpful is the staff in case of "tricky" transfer?

If a marketplace is angry in such cases, it means that they do not have a process to handle this kind of issue. That means they are amateur and you should not do business with them. When I sold a domain still in the 60 day lock, both Afternic and Dan had a procedure to solve the issue. Their support/agent was not even surprised when it happened. But you are right, lesser known registrars can be an issue. I try to stick to SAV, Dynadot, Godaddy, Epik, Rebel, Name.com, Namesilo and Namecheap.
