I let a geo .org expire, thinking the .net domains are better. But did I do the right? What does the data say?

When it comes to GEO, I prefer .ORG over .NET personally. It lends a bit of credibility and works well for official or semi-official things like governments, organizations, charities, tourism, education, etc.

I like .NET, but it is a clear second choice behind in .COM. There are times where .ORG can be the top choice for an end user, when it fits.

Couldn't have said it better. Especially, if the domain is a pure GEO domain

This got me rethinking my approach on .orgs. I have been away from domaining for 5 years, so domaining knowledge has dried up obviously.
