Hi,
I'm new at the domain game so I wanted to see from more experienced members what is their take on the following.

What strategy works best for you? And which strategies have you tried

1. Hand registering domains and then trying to sell

2. Buying domains on auctions and then reselling

3. Buying/Catching expiring domains and then reselling

4. Direct purchases - finding interesting domains and personally contacting the registrant

5. Outbound sales – trying to find and contacting potential end users/company/domain investors

6. Something else

You need to search.

No one is going to give you ready-made answers.

I'm not asking for ready-made answers, I asked for a discussion and domainers sharing their experiences.
I asked people what strategy works best for them so people with much more experience than me can relay some of that experience to the newer members.
I did a lot of research on the topic, but one thing is research and another experience firsthand.

1,2,3,4,5, and 6. Or none.

You're getting the NP forum wrong. Everything you ask for here has been explained a thousand times each on this forum. Your question will not yield any answers that are particularly useful to you.

As you have been suggested already, search, read, apply then come back to NP. And iterate. You will gradually discover your own method. If domaining is for you. Or not.

Good luck, and once again, stop asking for wheel to be reinvented and use the generous and very useful search function in this forum.

Everyone should come up with their own strategy. Here is what works for me (read: what I enjoy doing)

I like to Hand Reg Domains (yes, even now in 2020). The creativity appeals to me. I am a creative person etc.

Here is what I do:

1. Find Discount Regitrations/Deals to keep costs down

2. Hand Reg a few domains. I specifically Target 2-word .coms and 1-word .tvs. I prefer Hand Reg because it appeals to my creative nature and I fancy myself a bit of a wordsmith...LOL. Occasionally I will Reg a Deleted Domain.

3. Point Nameservers to SEDO parking to see if the domains get any traffic, this would be mainly type-in. Surprisingly I am pretty good/lucky at this.

4. Leave domains parked/listed/earning (hopefully) at Sedo

5. At the same time list domain(s) for sale at Afternic

6. Evaluate Sedo Parking Traffic/ Revenue after one moth to determine if any of the domains have potential.

7. Adjust prices up or down depending on what I observe

8. Record upcoming renewal dates and TURN AUTO RENEW OFF before getting charged full price renewal fees (on any domains that I don't feel have potential to hold).

Feel free to ask me questions!

There are many ways to get a domain name.
The blogger says all of these are ok.
So different domains have different strategies
