Fraudsters redirected email and web traffic destined for several cryptocurrency trading platforms over the past week. The attacks were facilitated by scams targeting employees at GoDaddy, the world’s largest domain name registrar, KrebsOnSecurity has learned.

The incident is the latest incursion at GoDaddy that relied on tricking employees into transferring ownership and/or control over targeted domains to fraudsters.

If you own Binance or kraken or something, and you keep your domain at GD... you'd think you'd put your most prized asset under lock and key.

I mean, 2fa... etc. etc. It's obviously really easy to DOX someone when their whole biography is on wiki.

Even the best secured hardware and software is useless if you have gullible employees and/or poor procedures. The truth as old as hacking.

This is one of the main reasons large companies use registrars like MarkMonitor which can cost more than the "popular" registrars, for extra security.
