I sold my first domain bought at auction here for 190x profit

I got into domaining two months ago, buying up around 10 domains to start with. Only one of them was one I won at auction here on NP for $5. I kept it on Dynadot and put a $1,000 price tag on it and forgot about it since I became focused on other ventures. Much to my surprise, I got an email today from Dynadot saying the domain sold. In just month month, I made my first sale, and at 190x profit!

I owe thanks and gratitude to NP for teaching me about domaining and helping me get started. I can now use this money to invest in a better domain portfolio

I have and will continue to be vocal about this.....if your reporting a sale, provide the details or just keep it to yourself, otherwise its a waste of time reading about it....

Happy to congratulate people if they provide information thats worth the congratulations...

Thanks Samer! I wasn't sure if this was what routinely happens in domaining or not.

It's a 12-letter two-word .com but the money didn't transfer yet so I'd like to keep it safe until them (waiting for Dynadot to process the payment).

Next time I will make sure to wait so I can mention the name in the beginning. Sorry about that! I'm still new to all of this

I will update with the name once I get Paypal'd the sale proceeds.

Congrats! Be very careful when you re-invest the profit. Choose a niche you like and you have some experience with (brandables, 4L, .co, .etc), focus on that niche and try to learn as much as possible about it, then invest in such names veeeery slowly. Good luck!

From experience I know it is easy to spend that quickly on new investments but like others have said, go slow and find a niche you like.
