Let's see what they come up with this year. Last year was kind of a disappointment.

I finished moving my last batch of .nets to them yesterday so hoping for a .com transfer deal so I can clean out my GD account :)

yes you are right last year was a big disappointment by the namecheap as they were giving the biggest discounts ever from the last some years especially i remember 2017 and 2018 and before this was also great but last time they just lost their biggest discount claim...

bingo
their transfer promos used to mean something once. now they are just big looking discounts on over inflated noncompetitive regular prices.

they ain't fooling me that's for sure

I trnasfered like 5 orgs
saved 10$ over next competitor
wasnt even worth the time

I have like 20 names there but I'll be happy when its zero soon.

Hmm idk why you think that but I'm using NC for 2 years & their support are way better than 2a hosting.

Personally I prefer chat/ticket support so I have everything logged.

Over the years I have encountered nothing but superb support from them. Better than any other I've ever dealt with.

Depends on personal experience and preference I guess. I do agree their pricing could be a bit better but it's not outrageous either. Their panel could be more domainer friendly but overall they have the basics covered imo.

pricing, incompetent support, old interface, annoying private messages over any domain change.

crosselling services, which you can get elsewhere much better and cheaper

too much hard promotion on overpriced services

domain promos are now just normal prices elsewhere

.com $8.88 ?
No those are not the deals which will be active at start of period. It is confusing way Namecheap provide a link to these as though deals.

Past year it was:
  • .com – $6.98 – Save 36%
  • .net – $8.98 – Save 31%
  • .org – $8.98 – Save 31%
And some other extensions discounted on transfer. Nothing groundbreaking. I remember them doing promos below $4 on reg/transfers before that.

I think a surprise should have to be .com $5 or less

Already .com @$7.28 with coupon with namecheap right now running..so expecting .com around $5 range or below as surprise deals from NC on black friday deals..anything above $6 is not a big deal..its just normal deal offers..😀😀

I have no problem with their support.

Granted, I wish their nameservers were on the main list page so you dont have to click on each domain to see... but yeah, no problem with NC from me.

The registration deals are good.

But the transfer deals are so sad, I don't even....

$10 .net/.org
$7 .com

This is why I don't like NameCheap:

10 days before the expiration date, I got an email from NC about (Afternic) Fast Transfer deactivation for one of my domains. Reason for that is domain expiry.

Screenshot (22).png

That is not a case with my domains registered at Dynadot, Namesilo, Epik... Another issue is my domain is now in Review status at Afternic so I have to recover it there.
