discuss Big difference in price on Lander & Marketplace - is the cheaper price honoured?

Hi

Looking for some feedback on the below scenario.

I have hit BIN on a domain on Sedo for xxx and the seller has a DAN lander where the BIN is xx,xxx

Will the buyer honour the BIN on Sedo?
What are the chances that the Sedo listing is no longer the owner of the domain?
Have you been in this position before? Did the owner honour the sale or refuse to go ahead?

First time this scenario has arisen for me and as it is a weekend nothing will happen at Sedo's end until Monday so interested to see what you think or your read what happened to you......

No, but I have seen too many times my domains listed for sale at Sedo or Afternic, presumably by previous owners.

do u know when he listed on sedo? on dan?

is it the kind of name many would have jumped on at this price on sedo?

if so then maybe we can wonder why they didnt

No idea when it was listed on either platform...On Sedo the owner has been active since 2014

It is one of those where I had looked up a lot of similar domains and this one came up on Expired domains/ Sedo BIN list on Page 10 - unless people are really looking deep into this specific niche/area, which a lot aren't at the moment then I think it is unlikely

He may be current owner, so you are getting a bargain via Sedo.
I would think that if this is the case, he has to honour the Sedo listing.

Yeah, it has moved 3 times this year alone

2019 the owner was based in Australia, new owner looks like they are based in Taiwan............

I see a refund coming way

And the inevitable has happened.....

Got a message from Sedo saying they are going to issue a refund....

Not all doom and gloom though, won a similar domain at auction which landed in my account yesterday.....
