A few weeks ago, I wrote about MarkMonitor’s brokered sale of the domain Peach.com. Now, it seems that the corporate domain management company has helped one of its clients acquire another phenomenal domain: Pink.com.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I negotiated on pink.com from the owner and asked him for bottom line. He said 1.2 million and I offered 1 million.
I have all documentation and the email string thereof to show this.

I then contacted a broker I knew and informed her that selling price was 1.2 million.
I told her if she knew anyone the domain could be acquired for that.

That is how it went down for me, I have all documentation thereof.
Don't know if it sold for that but from my conversation with the owner that was the price range.

I stopped at 1 million USD because the 1.2 was too much for me once converted into CAD.

Ps. I wanted the domain because I own pink(dot)ca and pink(dot)com would have been my largest purchase had it gone through.

A pretty incredible brand name.
Wow L Brands revenue was $12.9 billion in 2019!
Thanks to Jamie Zoch for originally uncovering the transfer, and @James Iles for telling us more about the sale.
Thanks for helping narrow what probable price might have been, @MapleDots .

About time that brand has been so big for them and their main brand Victoria's Secret has lost it's luster considered to be out of touch for today's woman. They have been criticized from all angles in different publications. Excellent buy.

One thing that bugs me is if you are De Beers, Rio Tinto, Anglo American or Alrosa etc etc is why did they not think to buy this domain?

Instead it looks like it has gone to an underwear company (maybe? Let's see), needs must, the market spoke, but still......feels like a lost opportunity for a company involved in a resource that is becoming more scarcer year on year......

Huh, I would have assumed they owned it already.

And as expected, I received an offer from a broker yesterday for the Pink(dot)ca

Victoria's Secret Pink has a fairly large presence in Canada

Pink is one of many brands owned by; Victorias Secret which’s 100% owned by LB

Sycamore Partners previously announced a deal to buy 55% of Victoria’s Secret deal value it at 1.1 B until Sycamore Partners backed out.

Now Victoria’s Secret 100% owned L Brands

Maybe L Brands still wants to sell Victoria’s Secret (which owns Pink) and Pink.com makes for a stronger brand offered as a package;

Disappointed, if anyone, but LB got Pink.com

Personally I think Victoria Secret and Victoria Secret Pink are both going away.

I think they will rebrand as pink and for the first little while they will add a small tagline "by Victoria's Secret" and eventually that will be dropped.

They have already announce closures and having Victoria Secret and Victoria Secret Pink was redundant.

They have started, this is from their website.
