I sold it to the owner of the .com. I originally bought it at GoDaddy Auction back in 2017 for $455.

Congrats on the sale and well done outbounding! Did you state the $10,000 price in your first email or did you negotiate to get to that price?

No, I never state a price first. There was some back and forth negotiation.

Thanks. I always try to keep it short and sweet. I usually start by saying that the name is for sale and why they should buy it, and then I try to create some urgency by saying that other buyers are interested and it could be sold soon etc
Smart!

Congrats that's a nice sale and good job on taking the initiative to go out and find a buyer. The buyer got it for a fair price too, considering it's taken in over 200 extensions. Consider reporting the sale to @Michael via https://namebio.com/report so that others can use it as a comparable sale in their negotiations for similar names.
Doron the statistician... :)

Decent sale for outbound, I would have personally held it until they buy it at a higher price.

Congratulations!!!, especially on the patience associated with the three-year wait, but I guess You did it did it with intent from the very beginning due to buying in order to wait for lot of other extensions to be taken and then on sale.

Congrats! I think it's a good strategic decision from .com owners to further protection by securing equivalent matching domain under ccTLD (Their own region) and competitive TLDs like io, co, org, net, info (Of course if they can afford)

Very interesting. Definitely the first time I've seen a .COM want the .CO.

Nice sale.

I still see the for sale page
1. Did the buyer forget to redirect it to the dot com?
2. Why did the seller not remove it from his account?

Congrats on the fantastic sale.

Be careful pretending there are others interested though if they aren't, in some places that's what could be referred to politely as "beyond naughty" if you know what I mean 😇
