.io ...still relevant?
I came across a video interview by Michael Cyger (of DNAcademy), who was interviewing domainer Mark Levine (of DomainTheory). Mark was talking about his success with .io domains. This interview was back in 2017, so wondering if .io is still relevant/trending? Any domainers buying up .io?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I believe it is a viable and, in some cases, superior alternative to the .com. We all know .com is overcrowded to the point of lunacy (mispelled names are often registered and marketed).

At some point consumers need a broader selection...imo. To me, while .com has its usual familiarity and prominence as the king, it is somewhat a vestige of a bygone era.

The internet needs to expand with millions coming online.

Good to know. The .io is assigned to the British Indian Ocean Territory. I'm not really sure who exactly that targets? Do .ios appeal mostly to tech industry?

google io namepros for threads

check namebio for sales

io are so relevant u will have to pay big money and compete for bids to get into owning some decent ones for resale.

I am still learning my way around namepros ... people just post their domains for sale in threads?

Yes, there are domain sales thread,

.io are popular but only a certain type of .ios' sell and you won't be able to figure out what to buy. A few .io that I feel like wow, I would back order this, oeven go in the Auctions for 2-3000 usd and then I give since I don't know enough to take a calculated risk whether it can sell for 30,000 in the retail market.

I like Two word .coms better, They take a little bit of learning curve, but if you study enough sales data you will be able to pick up names in under $1000 that can you can sell for 10X.

Do you own any current iOS? Would you like to share the names? Thank you for your knowledge. I'm loving the learning process 😁
