The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I was praising the .co seller. He does something I can't imagine myself doing. Any .co domains which seem to be slightly ok, is offered for 3 figures or more by the registry, no room for profit.

@alcy @topdom ...

I'd agree that these domains are average, but I didn't see them as junk. If you look up Astec, Blck, Tapp etc on LinkedIn, you will see that there are a variety of businesses using these names - this signals demand.

If you then look up their usage across major extensions, you will see that all of the most popular TLDs are taken and/or developed - .COM, .ORG, .NET, .IO etc - this signals scarcity.

Together, the scarcity and demand levels, set the value (within the remits of .CO values) - and that's what separates them from junk SLDs, which have neither demand nor scarcity.

Just a question about getting paid, do you have to wait for a while these days or did they make it better?
For me its very fast. I had said fast transfer but actually it was a BIN purchase. .US does not offer fast transfer.

I received notification in the morning. I immediately unlocked the name and entered the auth code at Afternic. Within a couple of hours, it updated as Transfer Complete. Within a few hours of that, it changed to Processing (Payment). From being sold on Friday morning, I will be paid by Monday or Tuesday.

The big thing is Afternic getting the domain to the buyer. This can be quick or take longer depending on the buyer.

Thanks for clarification. The reason I asked is because I sold a name through FT the other day and the payment is not yet scheduled. The name had a BIN and it was FT within seconds.

Hmmm, I think fast transfer just eliminates the need to manually unlock and provide auth code. I think the transfer to the buyer still can affect payment processing time.

Name was transferred to the buyer in the same time , even new registrar and whois updated of course. Ok, Just got an answer from the transfer agent when I asked.
The funds for domains sold on the fast transfer network are released on the 7th day after the sale opened. If that day is a weekend or holiday the funds will be released the following business day.

Name sold 5 days before the end of October btw.

Flowerforsale.com, $100. First sale. It's now listed for $75,000.

The singular "Flower" makes no sense at all. It should be "Flowers"

If you hand regged this name and did not renew for too many years, you did well to

sell it for $100. Not worth 75 cents - forget about 75k. This is a great first sale 4 u!

Bravo!!

I disagree. And so do many people who smoke cannabis flower. Not flowers.

if u are saying u need to be high to see value in this domain then it may be true... one sees many things not there, when he is high

Yes, there are cannabis companies using "flower"

in their name, but no canna or CBD company is ever going to spend 75k

to brand their product or company using the name Flower/For/Sale.

This is a terrible brand name and the seller was lucky to find

someone willing to waste $100 dollars on it.

The name Flowers/For/Sale, with the plural, might

have a chance, but in a different vertical such as

a company selling flowers as gifts such as a florist.

Is it safe to put valuable names in godaddy auction and get fair exposure or is it rigged toward expiring auctions?

Socialite.TV - $10,000

That's an amazing sale, congratulations. Care to share how many .tv are you holding and whether you consider them good part of portfolio?

My entire portfolio is .TV. Started in Dec 2005 and my portfolio has been profitable for years. I personally don't think there is a comparable extension to make ROI. Own a decent amount of names.
