question Does exact search volume matter?

Are there many end-users for it?

Yeah but have you got a bunch of potential buyers, have you checked Dotdb.com and seen how many other extensions are registered, remember you need to know who you will sell it to. I can find phrases that have over 200k ("the phrase") in Google, but that is not companies or people that want to buy or can use the name.

Forget about cpc and search results for now, focus on seeing if you have buyers, that is here you will make your money.

So there aren't exact searches but the term is mentioned on thousands of pages and people have paid for advertising likely for a shorter keyword version with the advertising still comes up with more keywords. Not all data ever made sense but i would guess that extra word will still have ads displayed.
