So a guy on Facebook offered to buy my domain for 4 figures because even tho I did not put a minimum offer. He messaged me and offered 4 figures and said he can't use Escrow .com in China and I got suspicious and then I told him Afternic and Sedo supports Chinese payments so he suggested and I quote his message:

I suggest using defipulse.exchange create a contract where we will write the terms of our transaction, after which my bitcoins will be credited to your balance and frozen until the end of our contract

I said we will use Afternic or Sedo and if BTC, then he have to go first. I did not hear from him then :)

Is defipulse.exchange legit? Have you ever sold domains like this?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Be wary, the domain he provided is piggybacking on the popularity of DefiPulse.com and it seems highly suspicious for him to "require" this rate to be used.

The exchange rate could be based on Binance.com instead. Have him send the payment first and you should be fine after 7 to 10 confirmations.

He offered me $7500 for my domain without any negotiation and he said he is from China and can't use other payment but when I showed Afternic accepts Chinese payments, he stopped talking lol. I guess he thought me a newbie on the internet.

There was one $x,xxx sale in sales thread with one of these shady new cryptos popped up;

The seller had nothing to lose; since hand-reg. She actually made $x,xxx Feeling that lucky?
Better be a worthless domain, they're valuing at $2k past negotiation, before u even CONSIDER
Be leery; study the designs, and only go through with it; if it's a worthless name hope get xxxx for.

Every BTC you deposit to "verify" your account is likely money lost.

I'm so confident it's a scam; i added it to list of "shady websites to avoid"
they all look the same; and all popped up recenty; i suspect they will have few targeted transactions go through on their fake site to "build fake cred" be extremely cautious

This is a fake offer. A friend just got ripped off this way. Want to know if it’s real? You have him send the btc to an address of your choosing. The buyer won’t do that.

Honestly, i feel one xxxx reported in sale thread ... i think "Crexbtc" couldve been them "cleaning money!"

Be verrrry careful
That’s the other scam site. The buyer is basically trying to get domains for free because the btc can’t be withdrawn on the sellers end. Total scam.

Never let a buyer dictate the method or source of payment!

Doesn't matter if paypal missing or not. I would never proceed with paypal. I told him Afternic or Sedo has chinese options.

that sounds like a scam, I helped alot of Chinese customers through our Epik escrow, there are many payment options for them, customers never had any issue. And they can even pay by Alipay which is the most popular payment options in China nowadays.
