Once a domain is rejected for an auction, you can't apply for the same (type of) auction for that particular domain again in the future.
One of my 4L .com domain was rejected in the past and was never allowed to apply for Great Domains auctions again. But it was accepted in the 4L .com auction and got sold for $1.7k.

This is valid only if the quality was deemed not to meet the criteria.

It feels like only good domain names on SEDO can command a high price,
It's hard to bid high for a generic domain name

As at the time of this post, they are still accepting domains.
I submitted 10 domains. Still waiting for response.
Submitted 10.
10 rejected.

In your Sedo account above your domain list is button Promote domains. Just check domain(s) you woulds like submit on GreatDomains and click on Promote domains. Then choose GreatDomains auction.

The auction just started 2 days ago, I have AlloyBike.com and AlloyBikes.com listed

I submitted nearly 40 names (only selected premium names), but none were selected. But I find hundreds of names that we cannot buy even for $ 10, have found a place in the Great Domain Auctions.

Tried to find the logic behind their selection criteria, but I could not guess. Moreover, we can not question about their selection criteria.

I remember the great domain auction was a grand one years ago, seem now the promotions are very limited , I have to do own promotion

Yeah, not sure how their selections criteria? Personally , I think I have more better names in my portfolios. I have submitted 40 , only two selected and the reserve are so low, I am just trying out. This is my first participation after being with Sedo since 2005

That's because the domain was submitted previously and rejected

I didn't even know that was a thing.
To have a better sales and price, one need to explore various platform, I have listed my portfolios at squadhelp, Brandbucket , Sedo , afternic etc. good sales rate and price

I always believe, there is no good or bad domains , no great or weak domains , any domain that attracts buyers are good great domains

Why Jim?
They dont stand up to your appraisals?
Will see if my AlloyBike.com and AlloyBikes.com sold above my reserve this week. I suppose we need to do own promotion, I have posted at Twitter LinkedIn and FB , currently 4 bids after my postings

By the way, I am following sauq.net at the auction for the lolz. I don't know what made them accept this domain. The Arabs mostly use "Souq" for a street market. It's kind of well established english spelling for that word (as far as google search results shows). I am pretty sure, sauq.net was considered to mean souq.net and that's why they accepted it. And what's more, the domain was registered in this year! (Probably handregged after being dropped by someone else).

Yeah the great auctions make NO sense, I had terrible names accepted for crypto like cryptocoincourses but cryptonewsletters.com or cryptotrading.es weren't
I think Sedo is pretty accurate on that one sir ..nevertheless I don't see why even your main one was accepted ...

Cheers

Not sure what the point of that was, i gave examples of average names and worse names in my portfolio and was surprised that the worse name got accepted over even the average. I have about 20 percent of submissions accepted my point is i dont see the logic, sedo is a dying dinosaur

The obvious logic is; I stand behind Sedo even if im not sponsored ...What marketplace do you have in mind that is not "dying dinosaur"
Or maybe you just gave a bad example of domains? As I said the 3 domains where you had an urge to name ...Sedo did not make a mistake ...
