Yes, I am aware of the term "apple" but understanding how it is used in a community would not be simple. It could be humorous or an insult or a complement
but since you pointed out it is discriminatory I will imagine it would create some form of distrust among people. I know nothing of life and culture on a reserve or one that is remote. Would imagine, not getting along could be fatal in a harsh remote environment.
There's nothing humorous about it. It is a derogatory term. People resist change. Isn't that the tenent of Conservatism? Keeping things the same as they've been, same agenda, business as usual? I understand your resistance to change. I encounter it daily, even here, it's just done politely. People are willing to accept new ideas when it is their best self interest, but then that's why we have Chiefs - who speak on behalf of the people. If you think my ideas are radical, just imagine what someone who has lived in isolation all their lives must think. They get blown away by the outside world! If I speak in global terms, that is because I have travelled the world three times over. It was a life journey, just as we all are, around the sun - how many revolutions around the sun do we have in a lifetime - together.
Under the tutelage of progressives, discrimination and racism theory and application is always evolving or more accurately devolving. Nothing is happening by a chance and is well crafted to undo basic understanding and how society relates.
Do you not see that devolving our culture into the most basic differences like skin color is a cultural marxist foment? Bringing chaos first so they can rebuild or re-engineer accordingly. Maybe someone should ask them to stop and let people live their own lives?
I agree, we ought to be able to break out of our own skin, out of our own mindset and free our thoughts. Does that mean that all people will? It is by choice. I chose the road less travelled, and that has made all the difference. You are free to choose the path you would like to walk and I am not dissing you for that.
Globalist agenda utopian style?
Aren't we seeing it being put into action already? or you think once everyone submits that is when real utopia will start? The book of Revelations doesn't predict good outcomes from this project. If the end comes it will probably be when individuals are no longer free and have no independent will of their own.
I can understand the fear that is implanted into people's heads about the Globalist Agenda, I have been fighting against it for years now. But that doesn't include what we as a species must evolve into if we are going to save the planet for future generations. The Communist threat is real IMO, China is a growing population exceeding their boundaries and ability to sustain the planet. Yet they are Capitalists on steroids and are consuming more of the resources of this planet in order to emulate the lifestyle that we in the West have enjoyed for decades. Where will it end? It ends when people live within their means and the divisions are put aside, people start taking responsibility for themselves, their actions and help one another along the way. Maybe that is a utopian dream, but how else are we going to maintain what we have, ie. small c - conservatism.
I was born in a socialist society but one doesn't have to live it to read about it, its history, and understand it and then promptly reject it
There is nothing better to experience than society build on freedom and voluntary interaction.
Voluntary interaction, meaning no lockdown? Okay, get wild and go free...I do!
Someone here mistaking you for a conservative? How dare he/she?
I will be the first one to set him straight comrade Cannuck

Straight sh*t, I was having a decent conversation with our brother
@.X. , just as I do with others in this thread, but I don't vote in the USA, however I have travelled to every state, and even lived in some, including Republican Alaska.
Almost over folks.
Let's all smoke a fattie and talk about how the universe will end...
