XRevents (.com)

Purchase price: $20 just over a year ago.
Sale price: $5,000

Used Dan.com generated lead Facility so 5% commission
Hi NextGen Brand,

Appreciate the info, well done. That sale rocks.

BTW, how satisfied are you with DAN? Their boss had tried to call us but when we called him back it was already too late in the Netherlands. Will call him soon but wouldn't mind knowing more about your experience(s) with DAN first. PM or open comment, up to you.

Thx.

It was a wise decision to reg .us domains after godaddy became the registry.
After .com and .co, GoDaddy started promoting their extensions purely like .us.

Just now I received the payment from BB and so I'm posting the sale.
O/v/l/u/x///com
Handreg 2017
Couple of months ago decided to change and increase the price from $3,290 to $3,395.
It sold for that price last week.

And the final payment after deducting all fees:

nice... but that's serious fee ripoff..shame on them.

Are you serious? $1137 commission?

Tell me does brand bucket have domain brokers who hand picks every domain to promote?

Well, their commission fee is 30% whereas Squadhelp is 35%.

Brandable marketplaces do charge exorbitant commission fees.
They have people who specialized in brandables who meticulously and rigorously select each and every domain submitted to them.

Several, not many, they are sometimes expensive.
Example, in past I registered drones.online for I think around $550(with GD Discount club), even renewed once, but could not find a buyer though.
Recently I registered Joy.xyz for $220 thinking it is worthy, will see how it goes:xf.smile:
Sorry, you asked about .biz only I guess..

I want to share my sales experience with DNWE thus far:

I have gotten value from others at NP and want to pay this forward. My focus is on quality over quantity in my posts. Here are some general comments:
  • Overall the DNWE platform and experience has been great.
  • The process is really clean, especially when considering the DAN.com integration.
  • I have found myself listing names that I want to move for cashflow purposes to refresh my inventory. Others can take a shot with the names.
  • Since the list is curated, all the names tend to have some value, so don't expect to submit low end hand reg names there.
  • There are some good names listed by others there, I have bought a couple names there as well.
**NOTE** Out of respect for the other domain investors who bought my names I will include my sales data as metadata instead of discretely listing the names.

My Sales Domain Stats
Names Submitted to DNWE (since May 2020): 36
Names Accepted: 16 (44% acceptance rate)
Domains Sold: 8 total (6 .com, 1 .co, 1 .tv)
Total Revenue: $1592
Total Cost of 8 Domains: roughly ~$800, aka half the revenue
Highest Sale: $500

Wiser //\\ Media (com)
Acquired in March 2020 GD expired auctions $641
Sold via dan 4500 (24 payments) the lander was a 4500 BIN with lease option.

Buyer is company with the name Wiser in it so hopefully they make all the payments or at least 4 :xf.wink:

Inbound

Recently based on the stats by Dan (saying publicly it increases sales) and what I see HD do I decided to give many of my names a BIN + payment plan option. Hopefully this isn't just some beginners luck, you know when you try something new and it works just do find out it was a one time thing.

so on the new installment plan...the longer the time the more dan gets right? or u still pay flat 9% overall on the 4.5k?

Good question, this is how it works:

"When you sell a domain name with a payment plan, DAN takes a 9% commission. If the buyer pays over one year, the purchase price increases by 10%. If the buyer pays over 2 years, the purchase price increases by 20% in what is called the “long term markup.” I was not aware until after I closed the lease to own deal, but DAN’s commission is 50% of the long term markup amount, in addition to 9% commission on the base price. For instance, if you have a BIN price of $10,000 and a buyer chooses the lease to own option over 13 months, the commission is 9% of $10,000 plus 50% of the additional $1,000 markup."

https://domaininvesting.com/some-things-i-learned-about-dan/

In this case it's 9% of 4500 (the base, with the long term markup it comes to 4950)
50% of the 450 “long term markup.”

Hope that helps

Still in negative. Maybe because continuing to register...and the quality isn't best, many mistakes made I guess.

so u didnt reg it on promos... well at peak ever I had 4500 names..99% regs... tons of wasted money and was in red for longtime .. despite some sales like u... the key is to persist and keep learning... because domaining is for those ready for long hard learning curve often with big initial losses... .not those looking to make fast money... domaining is super hard.. but if u persist u gain a skill for life no one can take away from u ..which u can use anywhere in world... and restart yer folio from zero a million times if u feel like it.. there will always be need for domains. well at least for our lifetimes who are here now ... gl

ps I'm down to 1300 now..and shrinking.. 99% handregs ...

LeadsPage: $595 (on sedo)
ExpressDialup.com: $4,000 (never advertised)
TripleAdvantage.com: $12,000 (never advertised)

Hi Gene, as a newbie in domaining this was really inspiring to read... But i am wondering, how did you get your domain noticed without advertising... I mean, i advertised and i am still having a hard time.
