The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Hi

maybe they just aren't appealing names.

imo...

Have to agree with that. I can't see why anyone would want those names at all.

To 99.9% of the population they are just 5 random letters together that make no sense.

Maybe the names just aren't for sale. Not on the main marketplaces and no lander.

Probably not for sale. NOSQL whois leads to opendomain-org and they have an interesting lander.

If all good names are sold then there will be no good name left.
You buy the name because you believe it’s good name until you find out there is no end user for it.
A good name may have NO chance to develop into a web site.
Cool down and don’t get upset.

I agree than NoSql is good name others may not be aware about the name potential but in programming and web developing it is a famous name indeed.

Just be patient domains can take long time to sell, focus on expanding your portfolio and dont focus on those 2 domains. Btw nosql is good while mynosql is not.

Good luck

Ok so the original question is why nosql.com and mynosql.com have not sold yet. NoSQL.com is registered and doesn't appear to be for sale, so that has been sold to someone that wants it.

As for MyNoSQL.com - it is for sale, but it's just not that good to be honest, so that's why that hasn't sold. That's my conclusion before I even know the price that it's for sale for.

As mentioned by @Ostrados, NoSQL is a database technology, but it's not exactly an exciting technology per se. It's a document database, enables amazing write throughput cause it stores data together... whoopie.

I'm a programmer and web developer and I use it a lot, but I'm not enthralled by it hahaha. I'm the target market for those domains I suspect.

It looks like the same people own JSON.com... I think I'd rather own that... but that's also an entirely unexciting subject.

I think NoSql term will become more important when decentralized web start taking off (if that will ever happen).

It's not a business, but a technology acronym. And acronyms don't really sell.

Half of the people here have 0 programming knowledge. They just flip domains ...

Patience is the key to making money in this business. There is value in the domains but if you're the owner you'll need to wait for the right buyer to come along and that takes time.

Yeah it's not interesting why would someone pay to buy them?

75 extensions reg’d better of com counterpart

That’s interesting; Curious not yet sold; based off exts; trust me when say;# low priority me.

Needs to be a better way to distinguish the other dxts reg’d arent Fugazi owned by com.

What do you mean? These domains doesn't make any sense.

As already said earlier to majority of the population it's just random alphabets.

And to the least population which it does make sense. To them too it will have no meaning at all as 'no sql' or 'my no sql'. Simply mean NO sql. So, what's the point?!

The start of your line kind of resembles that famous quote about all the inventions being already invented. They wanted to discontinue the patent system. Then cars came, TV, internet. Funny.

You just have to read through this thread, and when you go to the 7th post, you will see this:

And even more interesting, if you have the time, to type "nosql" on our precious Google, and see what it appears there.

For the ones still not doing a minimum search of this term on Google, just say that it is the "type" of database used by Twitter, Amazon, Facebook, Instagram and other similar heavy traffic sites.

What is NoSQL?

https://www.mongodb.com/nosql-explained

"NoSQL databases (aka "not only SQL") are non tabular, and store data differently than relational tables. NoSQL databases come in a variety of types based on their data model. The main types are document, key-value, wide-column, and graph. They provide flexible schemas and scale easily with large amounts of data and high user loads."
