discuss When someone post a domain and says make an offer....

Any thoughts or comments about this issue?

There are sections like "bargain price" or "fixed price" where you can post your domains for a good price in this forum.
So some people will assume that if you post your domain on the "make offer" section, it won't be definitely very cheap. Or at least for a minimum of $500, if you post it into the "make offer minimum $500" section.

I don’t see an issue with it. Some people don’t want wholesale pricing showing up on Google and some people are likely not selling below a certain figure. If you want to pay $50 for a name on Make Offer you either make the offer or move on.

Seems like alot of people are averse to make offer listings or paying more than XX for a name. If the name is obviously high value the offer expectations are likely higher. Even with make offer all people do is send what is the asking price instead of making an actual offer. So it might be a lesson in futility for the person looking to sell the name.

I got two thoughts so far, but they are not clear. Anyone else have an idea about this issue of pricing?

I think it's funny when they get offended because you made an offer too low. If you get easily offended, then just put a BIN.

I agree a bin with lowest price they’d accept is best for a domain they are wanting xxxx or higher for it kind of wastes the seller and potential buyers time when they went high. Sometimes when it’s not .com I’ll make a $70 offer and they get mad but I pay more for good .coms I also get tons of spam on namepros of people trying to sell me domains
