I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
but the other two were still low 4-figures and both added up would have really helped my TBR fund.

Well, I guess there's a silver lining for the rest of us then. last thing we need is adding to anyone's TBR warchest :xf.grin:

I'm also very interested to see what I won outright at Siber and dot-ca (they won on the WHOIS), as in finding out which of these I didn't get last-second sniped on by RLM, and have to fight it out in auction against Daddy TBRBucks. :xf.grin:

Its not me, I don't typically throw big money at one lotto ticket. I like having lots of discount lotto tickets.

I'm in half a dozen siber auctions. got a couple at $20 that snuck in under the radar (unless someone threw in a last second bid I didn't notice). There were a few domains that likely attracted a little attention that I chose not to chase, namely, starbright, freewheel, highrollers, all picked up by siber.

Sure, everyone needs to worry about me, not the guy controlling the Namebio .CA sales chart. :xf.frown:

Same here, but I also spend a bit on ones that really stand out to me, but I was more referring to the old "got a $20 winner, then someone lays down a $35 last-second snipe" kind of deal.

I also hate waiting til 5PM to find out.

Damn, only got 2 at Siber, so it looks like... once more unto the auction breach, my friends, once more...

well, that might occasionally be me because I leave everything to the last second. I usually roll out of bed by 10am PST, do some final research and then scramble to put in some orders.

When was the last time Dynadot got something this good? I don’t even recall them getting anything.

I don't remember anything that high or that good ever before.

It's funny how the TBR works sometimes, as it has some inherent randomness built in, and BK.ca actually went 5th, after:

rubberassociation.ca - MyID
heir.ca - MyID
anniversary.ca - dot-ca
bloggingcanadians.ca - Internic

The dot-ca one is weird, as I could've sworn that BK.ca was the top bid auction on the list, but I'll have to check that out.

Edit: I just checked, and anniversary.ca was 8th on the dot-ca list, but I guess someone screwed up with the server load, and BK.ca (along with Ranger and some others) got toasted even though dot-ca was in time for all the top-end names.

Reminds me of the quote, “Even a blind dog finds a bone every once in a while”.

anniversary.ca
That one was owned by a very prominent domainer so I was surprised that he let that one go.... Maybe one of those “oppsies”. Although he has plenty more good ones. :)

yeah, so myid didn't get shut out, but whoever prioritizes their TBR run must have called in sick today. That was an expensive mistake.

I wonder who next week's one-thread-wonder will be? Place your bets now! I'll guess CanSpace!

BK.ca is certainly humming along:

bk.ca
Time Remaining: 9 days, 19 hours

Current Bid: $2266.38

And Ranger.ca has jumped up quick to $1,000. Yeesh!

Still a ways to go before it reaches what I said but that was if it was caught by MyId! It may even reach that at Dynadot as well. That is a very long auction though for a TBR! I thought FWS’s 3 day (or is it 4) was bad enough but this one takes the piss.

I didn’t know who sold it till now. Congrats to the seller on here! :)

Unless of course this is a veiled statement that the bearer of the good news is also the recipient.

I'm more surprised that the Ranger.ca auction just started and it's already at 4-figures. I thought I might have a shot, but not at this rate.

So RLM or Spex then?

Thanks for the laugh. I wish this was my sale. I'm on such a cold .CA streak that I've just been diagnosed with hyperthermia

I had to visit the name to find out. ;) I had no idea otherwise.

I thought it would have changed by now or I would have gone there first.
