My goodness, too much to go thru. So Supreme Court Judge's son loaned Trump money when he was working at Deutsche Bank

Lots of stuff for the news to go thru tomorrow, like the great and world trusted CNN
https://twitter.com/search?q="Deutsche Bank"&src=trend_click&vertical=trends

It's Monday, way to start the week, then tomorrow the debate. Trump is up late tweeting, probably stressed. Might be a mess during the debate.

Trump's business career is more connected to Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy than we ever knew
Deutsche Bank loaned President Donald Trump over $1 billion for his real-estate projects while Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy's son led a real-estate division there, The New York Times reported Thursday.

Cannuck, this is not meant to sound harsh:)

If you have no problem with capitalism I don't have a problem with voluntary socialism. I don't mind if people organize themselves in communes like Amish or Hutterites as long as people are doing it on voluntary basis.

You are describing some kind of corruption that exists, not sure if you think capitalism is the cause but it seems you think socialism is the answer.

I'm not putting words in your mouth, nor thoughts in your head, otherwise I would charge rent. Deal?

On today’s episode of “The Most Trusted Name in News™”… [RedState]
During ongoing coverage of Donald Trump’s nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to fill the SCOTUS seat left vacant by the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg last week, CNN host Wolf Blitzer and CNN’s legal correspondent Ariane de Vogue ran into a bit of a snag.
Too bad that viewers haven't been able to “appreciate” what Vogue was trying to say, Wolf.

He is wrong... very wrong

What did Milton Friedman say in that video that you disagreed with? (Hint, he didn't say greed is good. Nor did Adam Smith or any other respected economist I know of. Gordon Gecko did, but he's a fictional character played by an actor who was born into wealth.)

Most greedy people I run into are not rich people. They are fearful. Wealthy people generally look for things to bring meaning to life, not more money. And let's not forget the flip side of greed: envy.

For all their "virtuous" displays, I would wager most of Antifa and BLM are running on plain old envy - which is a poor-person's greed. They want more stuff. For themselves. And they hope to take it from people who have that stuff, and justify it by calling them greedy. People steal flat-screen TVs during riots, not bread or foodstuffs. That should tell you all you need to know. They are the greedy ones.

When duty calls, patriots answer. In all countries i think.

What duty? To kill and be killed for wealthy special interests, or for some ego-gratification or power game? Because that describes most of America's wars. Those in charge trust they have a steady supply of eager and willing cannon fodder, thanks to 12 years of public school brainwashing that tells them they are the freest people in the world. Despite the fact that they get arrested 300 times more than people in other countries. Despite the fact that their government tracks and spies on all their communications. Despite the fact that the government helps themselves to a portion of earnings even from people who have never lived in the US - because they can. Despite the fact that they are torturing and imprisoning journalists for reporting on these state crimes. Despite the fact that they forbid Americans who are not already wealthy from investing in start-ups or other high risk high reward investments that might improve their life, while others around the world can.

It's such a great place that they make it the most difficult country in the world to leave and renounce. Why would such a great country feel the need to coerce people to remain citizens? And then, when they do leave but come back to visit, they are harassed at the border as though they are traitors for ever leaving. Few countries in the world do that, and they are places like North Korea.

What war will you send your kids off to fight?

Voter Fraud Scheme in Minneapolis Exposed

I liked the guy's comment at the end: ...if American people don't pay attention to what's happening, soon the country will collapse. If you let corruption and fraud become a daily business then, tough luck, the country will not exist as they know it now.

The guy manages to get his family out of collapsed and corrupt backwater in Africa and now is watching his new home follow the same path. Gotta feel for him.

I already answered this question, however, we can delve a little deeper if you like as your question qualifies a response.

We cannot change history, but I will provide an example, the potlatch ceremony - a way of redistributing wealth among the First people in Western Canada. The potlatch ceremony was forbidden, passed by the Government of Canada in 1885 and lasting until 1951. That is within "recorded history", contrary to his statement in the video, and although he recived a Nobel prize in Economics, he may not have known about it. From what I have read in his works, his ideas seem somewhat general and a little vague as it applies to today's modern society.

On the other hand, can we say today that people who lived free on the land in America, with a developed society that flourished for thousands of years before Europeans came to these shores, lived in poverty?

What has been done has been done, what has been said cannot be unsaid, but we can change the way we think and thereby the way we do things in the future by understanding one another, by learning from each other and by allowing our fellow human being the opportunity to become their best person through education and economic freedom.

From what I've seen of the riots, vandalism and violence posted in this thread (99% by the Right) cannot be condoned IMO. I also see the riots being perpetrated mainly by a select set of radical youth. I don't see many elderly out there destroying property - those that have been most affected by social and economic injustice for decades.

Personally, I am not envious of the rich. I live within my means and am content to maintain a way of life at a sustainable level both for the planet and its inhabitants.

As for MAGA - shall we repeat history? AGAIN, being the qualifying adverb - a call to action. According to the evidence, Watergate pales in comparison to the crimes committed by the current administration.

@sonatime - what part of Canada did you say you are from? I see you that you have been drinking from an extremist cesspool, hopefully never to be in my part of Canada. And if you care to step into the deep dark forest again, I will be there, with my chess tomahawk sharpened :xf.wink:

Peace out!

Actually, I'm part of the solution. I like freedom, not trump style oppression. I like honesty and integrity, not Trump lies and frauds. I like equality, not Trumps extreme classism. I like hard work and dedication, not Trump scams and backstabbing.

If you are like me, you are part of the solution too. Trump is damaged goods. He is messed up in the head. He is not your leader and he is definitely not my leader. He's our loser. Our mistake. Let's fix it.

No

I live in a nice area but i drive all over town for meetings. Wouldnt know anything if not for Trump and the rights bogus narrative. They just want to lead fools to believe their stupid lies. Trumps a turkey. He wouldnt even shake his supporters hands. Suckers and losers.

California, Oregon just experienced the largest wildfire in history but everything is fine because you live in a a nice part of town and still get a decent breakfast burrito.

It's Trump's fault for not fixing climate change and racism; not the corrupt degenerates who refuse to properly manage our resources.

California's rolling black outs? Trump's fault.

Double digit crime increase? Trump's fault.

High taxes and homeless lining the streets of LA? Trump's fault.

Definitely not the dumb asses who keep voting for democrats because Trump is hitler and the wall is racist. We need a black women to be president! That will fix everything.

You're disgusting. I wondered how long it would take for a "progressive" in this thread to crow about it. I thought it would be JB.
The guy was dedicated to Trump and worked with him before 2016!

Then Trump throws him out. Just like Trump. What a loser.

Trump will throw you out too! Thank goodness he will finally be out in a few weeks.

Can you even articulate how Trump has oppressed you? You're the typical democrat, nice words and promises on the outside.
