There is a domain registered with Namecheap that's about to expire. Assuming it does, how long does it usually take before it's available again?

I know GoDaddy expired domains go to auction and then closeout, but is there a similar process for Namecheap domains.

It's not a name that would interest many people.

available again does not depend on registrar...it depends on tld..usually it's like 70 or 80 days

But is there a different process with different registrars? GoDaddy has auctions, but I haven't seen that with other registrars. I'll keep checking every day to see where it's at.

The number you need to hear that from expiry date to the next person getting hands on it is between 60-70 days.

Namecheap scheme:
Expired auction after 30 days... except some TLDs.
And if no bidders - Redemption period after 40 days.

Is the auction on the namecheap website? I've never looked on there for any auctions not heard of any.

So namecheap expired domains end up of GoDaddy and NameJet auctions? I didn't know that.
