wigs is good, but by makes no sense unless it is an acronym for something.

plus it is poor for branding, because if i hear someone tell me the name.. I'm going to visit BuyWigs.com

I wont visit bywigs or byewigs...............

Domaining is already challenging to be choosing the worst keywords on top of that.

maybe..comeby is an exception and a few others.

Don't base you names on what has sold before, domaining doesnt quite work like that. Have a look and you will see the names are for sale again so someone wasted some money on them.

Its like saying ByLiner.com sold for $2600 so. I will get some other ByKeyword names and I will sell them.

You need to research a lot before buying names and dont register random words based on other related sales. This sales you pointed are not just random keywords, they mean something to someone or someone has used it as a brandable.

For example ByWigs is not registered in a single other extension that I can see.

ByPix is registered in numerous other extensions
