Firstly, don't be negative in this post. All this thread is for those to post their top domains, and allow other users to peruse through each others portfolios, and perhaps make offers among ourselves.

Secondly, they must be of a high quality and I know value is subjective, but say for example "Oracles Network" - This is the name of the Ethereum Network if you were to Google it. So don't be one of those people that look down on a name simply because you don't know what it is.

Again, no negative chatter. Questions are welcome so that you may discover the meaning of the word (though I just said Google was there) and speculation on prices based on past performance, doesn't dictate future performance.

Agreed, we all value our domain, and this is called the "endowment effect" and also, for example most of mine are new definitions, this makes it tricky for you to bring out your crystal ball.

Here's a couple for la la land;

ArkFuel.com....Nameworth Appraisal $14,500

ArkCharter.com......Nameworth Appraisal $29,500

I already sold ArkBrands for $1,400 60 days ago telling me I got a shot:xf.wink:

Noah could really use those domains. He needs ark fuel to power his ark (charter) boat.

Thanks for the Kudos:xf.wink: Suggest your go to Ark.com to see some of the value I'm talking about. Nameworth values Ark.com at 10M....i wonder if they know about it? If not, I promise they'll know about it soon:xf.smile:

What's In A Name? Everything:xf.grin:

You're saying that because a one-word, three letter domain is worth a lot of money, any domain that starts with that word will have value?

Or is it only domains that start with that word that you say are good based only on your personal opinion?

Dear Brad and Joe...Did I say that:ROFL: With regards to "opinion", you know what they say about opinion:xf.wink:

While I have your attention, i own a "Virtual Tasting" business who's domain is worth well over 5K mostly because my partner is the KingOfScotch.com. My question, how does the misspelled word "Vrtual" compare to "Virtual" like, VrtualTasting.com to VirtualTasting.com? I know you can share plenty of "negatives", but if you can find any "positives" please share. Please note, this is not a trick question. Thanks

No offense but 95% of the listed domains are not worth a beer :ROFL:

What would you say are the negatives of investing in Vrtual instead of Virtual?

I would love to know how many people posting in this thread have ever sold a domain for $5k, because most of the domains listed take some serious delusion to see in that price range.

Brad

I have, sold a domain for close to $20K. A variation,on a one word, sold to CEO of a tech startUp who was doing a brand name upgrade.

You're so kind:xf.rolleyes: Anyone else care to share?
You misunderstood, Rich. You asked me to share the positives of the name. I'd be happy to after you share the negatives that you mentioned.

Most the domains here I wouldn't even register. :xf.confused:

The only other Ark domain worth a bit would be Arkansas hehe

Well he did say that he sold ArkBrands a while back... I think his conclusions drawn from that sale are flawed, though.

Registering a bunch of other Ark names is one way to go, but it would be even better to look into why that specific name sold, and try to replicate those conditions for his other hand registrations.

Anyway, it appears as though there was demand for at least one other Ark name!

There are lots of actual successful businesses using "Ark";

Ark.com
TechArk.com
GoTechArk.com - this is a very successful local company
ArkSolutionsInc.com
ArkEngineering.com
ArkSystems.com
ArkLogic.com
VirtualArk.com

just to name a few, speaking of common sense:xf.grin:. It appears "Ark" is very popular with tech companies, but not being much of a technical guy myself I just bought ArkPizza:xf.wink:com where you build your own ark pizza, two items at a time.

If you guys care to learn anything about logos and graphics, you should check out all the creations made with the three letter "Ark".

I didn't misunderstand anything. You and I both already know the negatives, i just thought you might contribute something positive for once:xf.rolleyes: Here, why don't you try contributing something positive for ArkPizza.com, another "Ark" domain I just added to my portfolio for $8.50. If you have nothing positive to say, it speaks volumes about your agenda:xf.wink:

It seems like the message he should have got from the sale is that (Word)Brands.com might be a decent format, not that (Ark)Something.com is why it sold.

The more important piece of information about the businesses you listed would be: Did they buy their domains in the aftermarket, or did they hand register them because they were looking for a cheap option?

NO, the most important point is that many of the good names using "Ark" are already taken making names like ArkMade.com, ArkLodge.com, ArkNames.com, Arkadek.com, ArkCharter.com and most recently ArkPizza.com even more attractive. Especially considering the domains just listed cost a whopping $8.50 each:xf.wink:

Despite your fake analysis Brad here is what the Dictionary has to say about (Ark);

definition of ark
(Entry 1 of 2)

1a: a boat or ship held to resemble that in which Noah and his family were preserved from the Flood
b: something that affords protection and safety

Maybe you're Muslim and take offense, but to most it's not offensive:xf.smile: We all have our opinions Brad, and most of us rationalize our personal behavior much to the chagrin of "some" others:xf.wink:
