My first domain sale went through on 9 July! The sale was through Afternic Fast Transfer. Before you congratulate me please read what has been going on!

After the sale, I don't know why Afternic emailed me that there is some issue with my payment details... When I logged in to Afternic account, all I had to do was click next a few times and it was done... However, there was some error message and I re-entered my payment details and updated the Afternic Support about it. They told me that the payment will be sent.

A few days later I emailed them and asked about the payment and Afternic support told me that the payment was processed on 27th July. But they will not tell me when will I receive it. It is more like, we have processed a payment through a third party and now we don't give a sh*t about you or the payment. And keep reaching out to us but we don't care if you receive it or not.

So, I contacted Godaddy, the GD chat support guy told me that we are working on your payment and you will receive it in 10-15 days(not business days) from 27th July. I contacted them again just now and the guy has no idea about the payment and using the same old lines telling me that he is escalating the concern.

Is there any way that Afternic would let me know if I will ever receive my money or NOT? Their support does not take responsibility, they were responsible of sending the payment to some third party and now there is no way I can know if I will receive the payment.

What should I do???

Okay, so what sort of support do we get at Godaddy???

The other day their chat rep said that they are working on my payment etc...

Today I was connected with the same person(Himanshu) and he said someone else must have said that!

After a longgggg conversation and a lot of lies told me to email afternic!

I have sent an email but my previous experience suggests that Afternic cannot be bothered.

Guys what should I do?

Its unfortunate that you didnt receive your payment in a timely manner.
Email the Afternic Support team - they should be in a better position to help.
service @ afternic [dot] com

It takes 3-5 days for them to reply. If you still do not get any proper outcome - you can contact Afternic/Godaddy representative here in Namepros.

If you can - make a phone call to Afternic for a speedy remedy.

Its a hard truth - that both sites have an automated system to get the work done but when a problem arises - their 1st level support team lacks enough knowledge or experience in helping (I am referring to GoDaddy support).

Am sure you are feeling freaked out at the moment, we all would. But, you are lucky that you are dealing with a big & honest company. They are not going to disappear & have always found their support to be super helpful - put it all in writing and please update & hopefully let us know when you have it resolved and been paid. Best of luck

Also, note what Avijit mentioned, & tag them if you need more public support.

I respect your views. However, support is not helpful. The Afternic support team does not even address concerns sent via Email, and anyone who has worked in the customer support department/industry would tell you that addressing all concerns is so important that missing one can make you lose your job and that too missing the main concern.

For instance, in my last email, my main concern was when will I receive my money, they replied without even addressing this concern. The least they could have done is given me an ETA, so I didn't have to contact GD to listen to lies.

Honestly speaking, you have way more empathy than afternic support and GD support is a joke.

Related question: How to get Afternic to tell you when(if) will you receive your funds?

Chat support will not be able to help you. You need to contact [email protected]. They will get you whatever information we have on your payment. Once we send the payment out depending on your payment method and your bank, country, etc the amount of time to receive the payment varies. We can ask the paying bank to trace the money we sent and provide you with a receipt tracking the path the money took and where it wound up. Service can ask for that information for you and help you figure things out from there.

I did send emails to [email protected] (as mentioned above) but my concern about when will I receive the payment was ignored (as mentioned above). Let's see if they would address my concern when responding to the email I sent yesterday.

As mentioned above, I had to contact chat because the concern wasn't addressed via email. You clearly represent Afternic/Godaddy.

If you have not received an email response from [email protected] please pm me the domain name you sold and I will have them look into you.

Must be something to do with your payment setup or something. Afternic pays like clockwork.

One of the things I love about a service like Afternic is that I don't have to deal with working with buyers. Buyers often don't know much about domain names, transfers, etc.

Could be that the buyer is not confirming receipt or not accepting the domain. Afternic will fight for you to close the deal. They will avoid refunding the buyer. All sales are final!

Honestly Afternic paid me in no more than 1 day ... to not say hours after closing a deal.

You have to check with your bank about this issue in my opinion ... each bank have a delay on how many days you will recieve your payment ... in my case, when I withdraw funds from paypal to my bank account it takes up to 12 days.

It all depends on the payment method you will choose, country, and the bank in case of wire transfer, and how much time banks takes to manages this transactions.

Happy to see an intervention from NP member about this issue, since I already read about your case many days ago.

Hope it will get solved asap.
