Snapnames suspending Account becoz I contacted their Support Team

Ha ha... as funny it gets - I contacted Snapnames Support team to find out if I can add a 2nd card - for me to conveniently choose which card to use while placing orders.

Instead of responding if it is possible or not - Snapnames suspended my Account for no reason.
Never heard of a Company in the world that suspends Account - just becoz someone contacted their Customer Support Team.

They also suspended my account due to I replaced my old credit card that was expired. I sent support ticket to them, they replied and asked for my ID & Charged code that they send to my credit card statement.

As of now I have been exchanging a couple of emails with their Support Team.
Contrary to the common belief - they do respond each and every email. They have answered my first question - stating only 1 active card can be maintained in their system.

Looks like the hold was not due to contacting the Support Team but to start bidding on the Auctions. When I joined - 2 charges were made on my card - but was not prompted to provide ID proof. I was able to place an order from their pre-release names and also got the domain in Network Solutions Account. Usually Companies validate the card/complete the ID verification before any order is made. Account got into temporary suspension only after I contacted the Support Team - hence the confusion.

So again my card was charged 2 random amounts - I have already provided the amount in Indian Rupees - and they have accepted it. Right only only Govt ID proof is pending - which I have sent few minutes ago.

same here, my card is expired 5-10 years ago, I was notified about a name i had on my list for auction, tried to login and got the suspension notice

and after several calls, attaching my passport, calling and so they unsuspended my namejet account (which is also suspended due expired creditcard) and after telling them this is not the account i wanted, and they finally identified they did a mistake and went ahead and unsuspeded my snapnames account, to just find out the auction was ended and i lost for someone who paid $4xx and I was willing to go upto $1000

and Yes I have the ticket open with them with all this mess such as replying "thank you for contacting namejet support" O_o

Do SnapNames charge the credit card even before placing order?
My card charged twice for different amounts (both little less then a dollar) as soon as I completed registration and updating card details.

As described above in this post, these are verification charges. You will get charged later for your orders
