somehow in my haste to put in some order this morning (i had other things to do too) - I missed placing orders at Sibername. Doh. I guess I'm saving some money this week.

Siber did pull some of the better? ones this week I believe....not the most top ten, but better quality wise.. just my opinion after looking at the results

Looks like the notification bug is back. Thought it was weird that this thread was dead on TBR day and then I checked...missed like two pages of posts!

I went 1 for 1 on a mid-tier domain today.

I also didn't have a lot of time yesterday to do any "late bid outmaneuvering", so I basically came away with a small bag of junk.

With all the CERB money flying around, the difference between having a good or a bad TBR week is razor-thin.

Although the some of the TBR lists this summer have been pretty rancid, this might be the worst yet. I keep waiting for something premium to drop, and as of Sunday morning, I'm still waiting.

To be honest, I have 3 domains on my list this week, a new all-time low.

When I talk about "too-cute domains", here's a great example:

OdeToilette.ca

Get it? get it? Huh, huh... "Eau de Toilette"... but who in the world is going to a) bother figuring out the phonetics and b) fork out the money to buy it?

And don't get me going on PawlidayInn.ca, which is both cutesy and a potential TM issue.

Congrats (and thanks) to whomever reported the newest sale showing on Namebio!

Very solid sale if you ask me.

Ghost.ca, which sold for 6.9K in Dec 2019, has finally been developed. They specialize in "Smart, AI Driven Security", and are from Whitby, ON it seems.

A 14-letter, 3-word .CA domain for $4K USD? Yeah, I'd say that's a very solid sale.

And in a bit of a surprise, the top spot goes to...

ruppert.ca - MyID

I did okay, only going for 6-7 domains total, but I'm in play on them all, either winning outright or in auction with some rednecks. A very bad week (only 85 being selected) in terms of overall quality, but there was still a little cream at the very top.

TorontoRock.ca is a CDRP waiting to happen

Definitely if the owner plays it the wrong way and tries to sell it to them, but it's still generic enough to get away with.

Yeah I guess they could use it for a rock station or a rock related website. But the lacrosse team uses the .com so it would be hard to capture non-lacrosse traffic

I've never even heard of the lacrosse team, my gut instinct, as is probably true for any non-lacrosse fans outside of toronto, would be that this would be perfect for a radio station. So as long as it's not parked with lacrosse ads and they buyer doesn't approach the lacrosse team, they should be 100% fine.

Pretty boring auction, as Easton.ca (and GoldEagle.ca) ended the way they started and I was surprised no one jumped up in at the last-second to make a play on Easton. I almost threw a few snipe-bucks in just on principle.

Due to having a pretty good week overall, I stayed out and will concentrate on next week and what has started out to be a very promising TBR list.

Or a crushed gravel supply company, decorative stonework, perhaps marketing, even curling!

If anyone is looking to liquidate one-word .ca domains taken in ~200+ extensions, I'm willing to entertain reasonable offers. PM me.

I 100% agree. I have never personally avoided such names. That name in general is “generic” and could be used for many things including a Toronto Rock collection or Toronto rock climbing club. The possibilities are endless.

Does anyone here know what condosearch went for? I wouldn’t mind owning that one. If anyone here has it, DM me. :)
