How long does it take to receive Afternic payments?

Since, Afternic support won't let me know when will I receive my payment, could anyone from the Namepros community let me know how long does it take to receive a payment from Afternic?

It is a very small amount as compared to the sales I read about here, but their attitude is not letting me focus on my work. And as what I do is considered creative work, I need my focus there. Although I try to not get bothered with what Afternic is doing but can't stop thinking what's with the attitude and why won't they let me know despite the fact they can. Especially when their rep says they can let me know. I can't understand why they won't.

So, please those making Afternic sales please let me know an ETA. Thanks in advance!

For how long have you been waiting for the payment to arrive? When did Afternic told you that they already sent you the payment?

I got a "congratulations your domain has sold" email on the 3rd and a "your payment has been sent" email on the 12th.

They told me that the payment was processed on 27th July.

2 weeks and a half since they sent you the payment looks a bit too much.
Did they sent you the funds directly? or using a third party payment processor?

They sent it through third party.

Edit: That is what they told me upon inquiring about payment, but I haven't received an email from any third party payment processor.

if they sent you a check in the mail, who knows, but about a week is normal when electronic payment.

Payment was sent through wire transfer.

Payment was sent through wire transfer.
oh check with your bank, they would have communications on it anyway whether it has shown up or not in your account.

I believe, I shouldn't have used the word sent payment. They released the funds to their third party payment provider on 27th July and I don't think whoever that third party is has wired the payment to my account (because they never said the amount was transferred to my account) and Afternic won't give me any more details, nor tell me the name of payment provider so I can contact them to find out more details.

you need to be able to trace the path so you need to know who they sent the money to.

I really don't understand why they still use a third payment processor to send payments.
If the payment fails, if there's something wrong with it, Afternic (Godaddy) just won't have a clue about what's going wrong.

They sent the payment to their third payment processor, and that's what they know.
It happened to me the same, some time ago, and it took 1 month! to receive the payment at my bank account.
It clearly was something wrong, I keep asking Godaddy what happened, but they just said that they sent the payment to their "third party processor" and that's what they know.

I guess that using a third payment processor is cheaper or easier for them, but it's not very professional, when you send funds to someone, but instead use a third party, and when something goes wrong, oops, we don't know nothing because we didn't send the payment directly to you. Sorry to say, but this is NOT professional at all, in my opinion.

Probably, It's a bank issue. Check all details like swift code etc. A single mistake can cost you a month or so, as the bank will not accept the transaction & will send back the funds to afternic which can take 7-14 days to show up in afternic. Same happen with me few years back when I received my first payment from an affiliate network. Call the bank helpline or visit personally.

When they sent you the payment, they should have told you the name of this third party payment processor, on that confirmation email...

Yes, but that trace can't be done directly through Afternic-Godaddy, because they just use a third party payment company.
And what happens, is that the third party payment company, says that they have already sent you the funds.
And the best, is that in theory, you don't have access to the third payment company to ask them directly what has happened and ask them for the trace.

Good luck getting the swift code from Afternic. They just don't send the funds directly with their bank. They send the funds to another company, and it's this third company who sends the funds to your bank.
Afternic will not give you the swift, and you don't have access to the third party payment company, who sent you the funds. A nightmare just to make somebody moving to see what happened with the funds. Third company says they sent you the funds, Afternic says they sent the funds to third company, and you keep waiting with a fool face and without any swift.

My Email: "So here's what you are telling me, that you have released the funds to whoever that is and now you are not responsible for whether I receive the amount or not!

WHERE is my money and WHEN will I receive it?!"

Afternic's Reply: "Thank you for contacting Afternic Support. No, what we are saying is that the funds were released to our payments provider (with whom we have a contract) to despense the funds as stipulated by the informatio you entered in your account. You stipulated that the funds were to be released via wire transfer."

No mention of the name of the payment provider or when can I receive the amount.

What I say. They sent the funds to a third party company, and if something goes wrong with the bank transfer to your bank, Afternic just don't have a clue about what's going wrong. Not very nice.

Now you have to ask for the swift to the payments provider, that you don't have a clue who are they, very nice too.

I think that maybe a 1% or 2%? of transfers using this third company goes wrong, but who cares, it's not Afternic who is having problems getting the funds and waiting for 1 month to get them... it's just you!

Next time, change the disbursement method to Paypal, then you will get the funds instantly, because there's no nightmare of wire transfers between third companies losing the funds and not knowing where in the cyberspace of the bank wires are the funds.

I don't know what purpose Swift code serve in your country, But here in India, it's a bank code for international payment processing. Code via which bank from one country route the payment to the bank of another country. So basically, the bank provides it & you have to put up in your bank details at afternic.

Easiest way is receiving via paypal rather than wire transfer.

I mean the code that identifies the bank transfer, like a bank transfer receipt code. A unique code that you request, from the sender bank, to track the bank transfer.

Even if they want to send me the payment after a year or never send it, at least they should inform me! Afternic is not even replying to my emails anymore.

@Joe Styler works for afternic and replies quite frequently here. Be patient you’ll get your money. Definitely not good thing to have to deal with
